In this paper, we argue that Tabatabaee's claims are for the most part plausible. Nevertheless, it seems that Tabatabaee ignores another important factor responsible for unreliable translations, i.e., translator's alteration of literal translation of philosopher's text by virtue of his assurance that he has a sufficient understanding of philosopher's meaning. Therefore, we try to argue that even if we observe two main conditions of good translation mentioned by Tabatabaee, this will not necessarily lead to a reliable translation. Thus, in addition to Tabatabaee's two main conditions, the translator also must observe the literal approach in translating philosophical texts.}, keywords = {Political Philosophy,Javad Tabatabaee,Machiavelli,Theory of Translation}, title_fa = {تیرانی مترجم؛ نقدی بر کتاب تأملی در ترجمۀ متن‌های اندیشۀ سیاسی جدید: مورد شهریار ماکیاولی}, abstract_fa = {در این مقاله کتاب جواد طباطبایی با عنوان تأملی در ترجمة متن‌های اندیشة سیاسی جدید: مورد شهریار ماکیاولی، موردبررسی قرار می‌گیرد. مدعای اصلی طباطبایی در این کتاب این است که دو عامل محوری در ترجمه‌های نادرست و غیرقابل ‌اعتماد از متون فلسفة سیاسی عبارت‌اند از «لغت‌بازی» و «ناآگاهی» مترجم از مباحث جاری در حوزة فلسفة سیاسی. در این مقاله با وضوح‌بخشیدن به این مدعا و سنجش آن ازحیث وثاقت نشان خواهیم داد که مدعای طباطبایی در آسیب‌شناسیِ ترجمه‌های نادرست تااندازۀ زیادی قرین صحت است. بااین‌حال، به‌نظر می‌رسد که برای تکمیل آن مدعا‌ باید عامل دیگری را نیز درنظر گرفت و آن نقد دخل و تصرف‌های مترجمانِ متون فلسفة سیاسی در آن‌ها، به‌واسطة اطمینان‌خاطرشان از درستیِ فهمی است که از متن به‌دست آورده‌اند. درهمین‌باره، کوشش کرده‌ایم تا نشان دهیم که نادیده‌گرفتنِ این عامل مهم، حتی اگر ملاحظات دوگانة طباطبایی را مدنظر قرار دهیم، باز هم می‌تواند به ترجمه‌های نادرست منجر گردد.}, keywords_fa = {فلسفة سیاسی,جواد طباطبایی,ماکیاولی,نظریة ترجمه}, url = {https://criticalstudy.ihcs.ac.ir/article_3556.html}, eprint = {https://criticalstudy.ihcs.ac.ir/article_3556_ca2308db33152764f0729044eb81096e.pdf} }
