The association between Literature and Music is represented mostly in Vocal Music and the music of poetry. It is notable that the new compiled written works in the literary-musical field of “poetry and vocal music association” has encountered new issues rather than finding equivalence for metric and rhythmic prosodic meters of Persian poetry which literary criticism has remained far from studying them. On the other hand, in recent decades, “Music of Poetry” concept with the formalist theme has suggested aesthetical criteria in studying and criticizing Persian poetry, and it has benefited from musical terms such as musicality, harmony, orchestration, etc. while musical critique has not presented any comment on written works of "music of poetry". Complexity and scarcity of theoretical sources of critique, its psychological and sociological obstacles are the reasons for the literary and musical criticism passivity in these areas. The findings of this article indicate that the term music in "Music of Poetry" is contrary to its definition by musicologists. They also represent that the study of written compiled works of “poetry and vocal music association” can considerably help to develop and extend new prosodical perspectives in the field of literary criticism. The results of this research as an interdisciplinary study include some suggestions for identifying and increasing the mutual interests of literary and musical criticisms, the most important of which is a proposition to form study groups and hold conferences on “Criticism of Poetry and Music".

The present article reviews and criticizes the book ‘postcolonial theory and Kurdology’ authored by Jalil Karimi. In the introduction section, firstly, the postcolonial studies have been defined and important approaches have been introduced. Then, the book has been analyzed from both formal and content points of views. The results of this analysis show that there are some problems with regard to the formal viewpoint: it lacks introduction and general conclusion; the book has both the preface and introduction, and the English equivalence of the title of the book has not been written at the back of the book, and some of the authors’ names have not been mentioned in English in the text. From the content viewpoint, the sample size (i.e., eight books) is not enough; discourse analysis is mostly context-based, and in most of the cases, no attention has been paid to the historical and social backgrounds of the formation of Kurdish discourse. The analyses concerning issues, such as “negativism”, “nativism” and “the relationship between knowledge and power” are weak. The positive points of the book include its novel theme, fluent prose, strong theoretical framework, appropriate methodology, and accurate referencing system. The book is likely to have a significant impact on Iranian humanities studies in terms of theoretical, paradigmatic and methodological aspects; it also strengthens multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary studies, qualitative methods, critical approaches, indigenous knowledge and the concept of “subjectivity” in Iranian studies.

This article reviews and criticizes Aristotle’s Eudemian Ethics based on Anthony Kenny’s translation. We have tried to show that morality in Aristotle means living good, and his purpose in writing this work is to find an answer to the question “ what is good life and how can we achieve it?”; an answer in the virtuous tradition of the philosophical environment about which he is thinking. Hence, the understanding of the nature of what happiness is based on the understanding of the nature of virtue is significant. After examining all the various virtues, he ultimately defines happiness as “full life activity according to complete virtues” (1219 a, 39), and this main virtue includes all other virtues, namely moral virtue and intellectual virtue. Studying and acquainting with such a book for those interested in ethical studies have this advantage that they can examine some of the ethical issues in society from the scope of virtuosity.

The close relationship between spelling and writing has led us to study Mahvash Ghavimi’s works as a part of studies done at the Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies, and we review and criticize two educational and academic works entitled "The French Spelling Guide" and "The French Writing Guidelines", published by the University Publication Center. The present article has tried to take a brief look at the emergence and evolution of spelling before paying attention to the role of dictation in learning French language spelling and its connection with writing skill. The study of the content and especially the exercises that the authors have included in these two books has allowed this research to reveal the approach of the authors of the books in language teaching by determining the type of exercises, and also there are some strategies suggested in order to correct, improve and update them. The main goal of the authors in these two books is to teach the basics of French spelling in a very prescriptive way in the first book, and in the second one, it refers to sentence construction and its constituent elements to be learned by bachelor students of French language and literature and French language translation.

Current changes suggest that organizations’ efforts to adapt to external conditions for survival have been more natural than Conscious efforts. Strategies are evolving as a result of the urgent need to respond to market changes - the same need that has a role in making organizational hierarchy flat - this elimination of management layers, in turn, affects the ways in which organizational strategies are created. Since the 1990s, following the failure of prescriptive strategic plans, a new paradigm in the field of strategic management and decision-making called evidence-based approach has emerged. This research has been done in the insurance industry and while having a pathological view of strategic decisions that are taken at the head of insurance companies, the researcher has tried to find a model of strategic decision-making based on evidence from the discourses of senior managers of insurance companies. This research is fundamental in terms of purpose and it is among the mixed exploratory studies. In this study, first the evidence-based strategic decision model was designed using the Grounded theory and the Strauss and Corbin paradigm model, and then the fuzzy Delphi method was used in order to determine the importance of the factors identified in the model.

“Advice Paradigm, Iranian Thought Beyond Decline and Continuity”, the book of Iranian thought strives to combine the writings of the ancient and Islamic periods in a single pattern; includes and analyzes “the two dilemmas” and “the four implications”. The question is what the model of the authors of the paradigm of advice is; for explaining the epistles of Iranian history and to what extent it is sufficient for the theoretical studies of this group of historical sources? The findings of the research, which have been done using a critical approach and the historical explanation method, show that the basis of the ideas of the book is based on a predetermined framework, and is influenced by the reproduced Iranshahri theory of the contemporary period. In a critical evaluation, what is expected is the possibility of proposing a different model for reading the texts of the Political Epistles.

This study is mainly concerned with the theoretical aspect and the content of the book. Hence, the scientific method, theoretical approach, and historical data, and the content analysis of the book are evaluated, and its strengths, and shortcomings are identified. Accordingly, the critical phase of this study is presented in three sections relating to form, methodology, and content. The strong points of the book relate to the fact that the author retains powerful imagination, precise visualization, interpretive analysis of the preindustrial situation, and the ability to illustrate the cultural, political, social, and economic situations of pre-modern era with an accurate explanation of the positions of politics, government, culture, society, individuals, and religion.

In presenting a lawful image of society, the sociology of law faces the difficultly of constructing a legal definition. Identity analysis is the main issue for the legal and sociological disciplines. Identity as an individual right versus identity as a collective culture creates an unending conflict between legal sociologists inside each discipline. The present paper takes this challenge as an assumption and goes on to focus on the Iranian identity to provide an analysis based on natural rights. The hypothesis is that identity, as a fundamental right, develops outside the society, while identity as culture, though looked upon from a legal perspective, is a right under the statutory rights, which is closer to the sociologist analysis. The value of this perspective in research lies in its presentation of a solution to the deviated analyses of the Iranian identity forged over the past few centuries.

The fantasy genre is of the most problematic genres in cinema and has been neglected by cinema adherents for decades. Although the first so-called fantasy works date back to the early years of cinema and the works of George Millis, by the late 1970s, for many reasons, including the relatively high cost of producing such works and the lack of progress in cinematic technology, fewer fantasy works appeared in cinema. One of the important theoretical issues about fantasy works is the confusion of such films with other works of cinema such as horror and science fiction. An accurate definition of the concept of fantasy is problematic; Therefore, considering the creation of brilliant works that carry the attribute of fantasy after the 21st century, and the audience's interest in these works in recent times, as well as the growth of cinematic technology, find specific frameworks to determine the characteristics of fantasy works and distinguish them from other similar works such as science-fiction and horror seem necessary. The Importance of “The Fantasy Film” book by” “Katherine A. Fowkes”, the translation of “Ali Zafar Ghahremani Nejad” is due to the attempt to find answers to these questions and ambiguities that this kind of works have created among cinema people and therefore it is necessary to examine how the author explains the concept of fantasy. This book was published in 2016 by Nashrbidgol in 324 pages.

The part of Asia that for various political and geographical reasons has been called by various names such as Middle Asia, Central Asia and the heart of Asia, after the collapse of the USSR and the formation of new independent states in the region, provided new opportunities in various economic, cultural, political and religious aspects for the major players in world politics, as well as giving rise to questions and ambiguities about how to take advantage of these opportunities. Since the knowledge of history is at the core of the solution to any problem in human relations, the study of the history of this region has also been the focus of some political institutions and academic forums. The history of Middle Asia (from Mongolia to Khorezm) by Swat Soucek is one of the works that offers a narrative of the 14th century history of this region. The author seeks to provide a historical introduction that opens the door for politicians, journalists, businessmen, and researchers to penetrate the lesser-known world of this part of the geography of world history. The present article tries to provide an analytical method, a critical evaluation of the book translation and the author's historical approach.

The reason for non-development in the Iranian society is one of the important concepts with which Iranian thinkers have dealt in the last hundred years. It has been examined from different perspectives. The policy-making for industrial development which was pursued since Reza Shah’s government in order to reconstruct the substructures of Iran, is one of the most important phenomena for the study of non-development. Although the study and examination of reasons of industrial development are very crucial in this regard, few works have dealt with the reasons for industrial non-development. The book “Oil, State, and Industrialization in Iran” by Massoud Karshenas (Professor at SOAS University of London) is one of the few works which deal with the reasons for inefficient industrial policy-making in Iran. Karshenas tries to study the effects of oil on the industrial policy-making in Pahlavi era with a structural approach. This article provides a critique of his approach towards the effects of oil on the industrial industrialization and its implications.

It has been long believed that the Japanese are typical collectivists whereas Americans are typical individualists. To examine the validity of this common view, Takano reviewed empirical studies that compared Japanese and Americans and found that the overwhelming majority of those studies had not supported the common view. Takano examined whether the common view that Japanese are more collectivistic than Americans is valid or not in line with such these respects. He pointed out that those empirical studies that were directly related to the commonly accepted definition of individualism and collectivism did not support the common view and that those studies whose relations to individualism and collectivism were merely inferred were inappropriate in judging its validity. Also, he showed that the reference-group effect cannot entirely explain the past questionnaire studies failure to support the common view. In the current paper, the focus is on the meaning of “collectivism“, and it discusses the additional aspects of individualism/collectivism. This paper also focuses on the collectivism in Japanese business culture. The business culture in Japan stresses teamwork or collectivism, which ranks in stark contrast to the sense of individualism that stems from individual liberty and freedom espoused by western culture. Japanese culture places high importance on teamwork based on their philosophy of “wa”, or group harmony that holds the value of the greater good, as more important than valuing individual needs.

Numerous works and research have been written and published regarding the study and critique of the situation in the Middle East region. One of the most important analytical approaches in this regard is the analysis of identity conflicts. Regional and international thinkers and experts have analyzed the current situation in the Middle East from this perspective. Amin Maalouf, a Lebanese-French national, focuses on the situation in the region and, consequently, the situation in the contemporary world from the perspective of identity conflicts. This article is dedicated to the review and critique of the book “Deadly Identities” and consequently the well-known study approach in his other works. A review of the book “Deadly Identities” shows that Ma’louf takes a critical approach to the situation of identity confrontations and traces the current situation in the Middle East to the historical period of the Crusades and the main reason for today's situation is introducing the identity “insiders”. Another elimination causes dissatisfaction on the part of individuals, peoples and tribes in different nations and creates violence, terror, war, and suicide attempts.

Nick Trakakis, the contemporary philosopher of religion, in his book The End of the Philosophy of Religion, presents his idea on the relationship between metaphilosophy and methodology of the contemporary philosophy of religion in both analytical and continental traditions. Before entering into the controversial debates and issues of the philosophy of religion, he tries to understand the methods and goals pursued in the philosophical traditions, as well as to analyze and critique the strengths and weaknesses of these traditions. To achieve the above goal, Trakakis deals with the design and formulation of the distinction and similarity of philosophical styles in the two analytical and continental traditions. Trakakis examines the examples of thinkers from these two traditions and concludes that the religious philosophy in the analytical tradition seeks to assume a particular point of view in metaphilosophy and philosophical methodology, within the narrow confines on scientifically rationalized and logical arguments - independent of the concrete and existential concerns of human life. While introducing analytical key themes in his book The End of the Philosophy of Religion, this paper critique the Trakakis 's views from a methodological point of view and its relationship to metaphilosoph.

It is in structure, deductive reasoning, and the evidence has been used by the statistical sample method. Each year, the group of educational books reviews these books generally or partially, the exact review of the editorial team in the field of editing the textbooks is also highly felt. Therefore, some of the relevant issues were mentioned in three areas of editing, namely linguistic, content, and technical. We discussed the important issues which needed to be addressed by the editor in these books. The result of this research suggests that among the three editing areas mentioned in the editing books, most of the drawbacks are in the “technical editing” and these books need a comprehensive overview in this particular editorial area.

This article tries to analyze and critique the book Aesthetics of Photography, according to set criteria. Francois Soulages, the author of this book, is an experienced professor in the field of aesthetics and philosophy of art in France. The book has an acceptable quality of print and published. There are few typographical errors, fluent prose, and footnotes, references, indexes, and bibliographies. Despite a few minor flaws, the book sounds well. The translation of the book to Persian is also fine. Thematic variety and proper distribution of the book's contents in three general sections and 12 chapters have been done very cleverly. In terms of content, the book has been able to challenge the issues related to the aesthetics of photography from different perspectives and useful case studies. By constantly using the method of dialectical reasoning between conventional and unconventional metrics (in terms of type and time), Soulages has done very well in understanding the concepts of contemporary photographic aesthetics from the standpoint of a French expert and has been able to provide a useful perspective on contemporary aesthetic effects. The introduction of some influential photographers of late is also one of the desirable contributions of the book. The book contains very useful information for the university photography community in our country.

Explaining and studying the content of this system not only exposes the sinister intentions of the enemies of Islam, but also it articulates the weaknesses of Muslims. In addition, Iqbal's thoughts and philosophy are well expressed and the art of Allama Iqbal is that he has succeeded well to express a subject with such seriousness beautifully in poetic language and that the audience remains influenced by its content and form for a long time. Certainly, Iqbal's stay in England and the study of philosophy and thought played the most important role in prevailing the philosophical and political circles of that country, in preparing him to find out problems and difficulties of the Islamic world and effective factors in causing these problems and difficulties during his intellectual maturity. The relationship between Historical Sociology (HS) and International Relations (IR) is one of the relatively new fields of study, which has attracted the attention of researchers and activists of both fields during the last few decades. In other words, the impact of the international environment on internal developments is the basis for the emergence of this field of study with general titles such as International Historical Sociology (IHS) or Historical Sociology of International Relations (HSIR) during the first years or decade of the current century. The theoretical research on the book “Global Historical Sociology” (GHS), raises the question of whether it is possible to know global historical sociology as a conjuncture point between the mentioned fields of study. The authors of the book criticized this tenet as a transdisciplinary branch that includes three areas: World Sociology, Historical Sociology, and World History. The studies carried out show that ambiguity in the possibility of methodological integration of the fields of sociology and history on the one hand and neglecting the position of the state in global transformations or its overlapping with the newly emerging field of Global Studies causes the current deficiencies in the content and methodological coherence of the book. However, the mentioned attitude can be more carefully considered and developed in the future. In this article, it will be tried to express the strengths and weaknesses of this work with a critical view.

AldaMerini appearsamong those contemporary Italian poets translated into Persian. Merini is a poetess of great renown because her poetry leads readers to the knowledge of a world-wide aspect of literature. With her works, Merini has demonstrated a great intellectual diligence in the condemnation of contemporary society alien to Truth. She becomes the defender of the weak and marginalized people, carrying on this task with courage and without any fear; she tried to carry the flag of truth in favor of the oppressed. Her verses reveal a profound spirituality and also a particular aspect that has always characterized the Sufi culture and literature deeply esteemed and venerated in Persian literature. A great amount of Sufi poetry has been written in Persian and thus people of Persian culture have been fed of this kind of poem in various moments of prayer, sorrow and happiness. This research tires to shed light on Merini’s spirituality concealed in her Sufi poetry. This study is not an attempt of making a comparison but rather an attempt of analyzingMerinian poems under the light of the universal mysticism of Sufism that possesses an incomparable depth with any other literary genre. It is appropriate to put Merini’s poem in contact with the Persian Sufi Farid-adin Attar’s work entitled Manṭiq-uṭ-Ṭayr(The seven valleys of spirituality).

The period beginning from the second half of the twentieth century to the present time, in some countries, has been named as the postmodern. This kind of naming caused the culture, art, knowledge, and the social reactions of this era to be often associated with the term postmodern. Hence, the literature of this period eminently has been associated with the adjective; postmodern too. Each of the critics and philosophers of the West have defined some characteristics for the literature of this period. The present paper, while considering some of these characteristics, analyzes the book Postmodernism in Literary Fiction of Iran written by Dr. Mansoureh Tadaion, and deals with ups and downs and the adequacy of the mentioned book.
