The present article reviews Jones “Macroeconomics”, translated by Jahangard and Keramatfar. In this regard, an attempt has been made to examine the book in terms of content and translation using an analytical-descriptive method. Content analysis of the work indicates its usefulness for teaching at the university. Introducing the DSGE model in a fluent and simple way for undergraduate students, which is described with a practical example, is the most important achievement of the book. Also, the concepts of macroeconomics are presented simply and according to the revealed facts. Lack of attention to solving numerical examples as well as expressing different economic schools and the role of books in this regard are among the shortcomings of the main text. Publishing a book in Persian is valuable because of the analysis of the new Keynesian approach. However, translating a book has many drawbacks that in some cases make it difficult to read and understand. In addition, parts of the original version that are necessary to understand the content have not been translated. Therefore, it is suggested that the translated text be re-edited.

The main problem of this survey is to explain the basic components of the German school of Ordoliberalism and the theoretical and practical critiques of it, and to ask about the relationship between Ordoliberalism and other schools of neoliberalism. In this regard, first, using the library method and referring to the works of the most important thinkers of Ordoliberalism such as Eucken, Ropke, and Rustow, as well as their main commentators, the characteristics and principles of the Ordoliberalism school are extracted. These principles are the primacy of law and legal institutions over economic institutions, the constitutive and regulative principles, the superiority of the competitive order and the superiority of a strong state within the framework of the economic constitution and the implementation of ordnungspolitik (ordering policy) to preserve the market. A brief comparative analysis of the relationship between this school and the Chicago School is presented. Finally, the theoretical critiques of the ideas and basic principles of this school and the practical critiques of the effects and consequences of the implementation of the Ordoliberal policy are discussed in detail.

The book “Why Nations Fail: The Roots of Power, Wealth and Poverty" written by Daron Ajmoglu and James E. Robinson is one of the works of new institutionalism. By examining the history of nations, the authors have analyzed the reasons for the growth and decline of societies. This work, like other works of the authors, is based on the comparative study of the long-term development experience of different nations. In this article, while examining the formal structure and quality of the translation of the book, which was done by Mohsen Mirdamadi and Mohammad Hossein Naimipour, the content of the book has also been examined. The book has content and methodological weaknesses. The authors claim to have derived their theory with a historical approach and an inductive method, but in fact, by choosing oriented analytical and comparative methods and of course philosophical ones, they have presented an ideological reading of the history of countries and the quality of their development. The lack of statistical evidence and the contention of the analytical method and repeated emphasis on the author's opinion with repeated identifications have weakened the content of the book. Claiming to be inductive and rejecting this claim by using an analogical approach is one of the most important problems of this book. The book has a fluent translation, but it has many editing problems. The design of its cover and back cover unfairly evokes a black, defeated, and poor image of the people of Iran.

The book Economic Behaviorology According to Holy Quran is honorable for referring to an important issue on the borders of Economics and for having a Quranic approach. Using the analytical method, the current paper analyses the performance of this book in promoting the borders of discussions on economic Behaviorology. According to the findings of the paper, the book suffers from three main problems namely return between systematic analysis and Behaviorology, making a vague conflict between materialist and innatist Human and Behaviorology in the framework of the perfect rationality approach. Therefore, it could not access its goals. The main problem is the lack of attention to the boundaries of human rationality which is an important issue in Behavioral Economics. Contrary to the findings of the book, there has been attention to cognitive, motivational, and intentional boundaries of rationality in Quranic economic Behaviorology. Therefore, Allah almighty mentioned some solutions.

Methodology of Islamic Economics is a textbook for MA and PhD students of Islamic economics. Using the concept of institution, the author has tried to make a connection between the Shari'a rules, as matters of conventionals, and economic realities and concludes that differences of conventionals in Islamic societies and others, requires differences in social realities and so Islamic economics requires a different methodology. The author then examines a list of institutions derived from the Shari'a rules and how it affects social realities. The main drawback of the book is to move away from the methodology and there is almost no discussion about the evaluation of theories of Islamic economics or the criterion of the scientific nature of these theories. Much of the book discusses the differences between Islamic economics theories from those of neoclassical economics. The author has used some concepts of institutionalism without clarifying the relationship between institutionalism and Islamic economics. The critique of the foundations of neoclassical economics also relies on other schools of economics, including the German historical school and behavioral and institutional economics, while the author was expected to critique from the perspective of Islamic economics. It is suggested that the title of the book can be changed and the author can make a fundamental review of the book's topics in the next edition.

The book Risk Sharing in Finance: The Islamic Finance Alternative (Askari, Iqbal, Krichne and Mirakhor, 2012) seeking to draw the general spirit of the Islamic financial system, explaining its differences with the conventional system (in roots and foundations and also In functions and consequences) as well as drawing its main building blocks in a deep and fundamental approach. In this book, "risk sharing" is introduced as the central concept of the Islamic financial system. Risk sharing system by linking the real sector to the financial sector, prevents the “financialization” and the occurrence of successive crises; On the other hand, due to the emphasis on risk sharing, it will increase financial inclusion and consequently, the welfare of the community. From the authors' point of view, this system has not been realized yet and the financial system in Islamic countries is far from its ideal situation due to the lack of some institutional prerequisites. In the critical review of the book, there is not much criticism of the main idea, but there are some weaknesses in the processing of some concepts and relations, as well as the explanation of some philosophical foundations, consequences and functions, and the implementation of the ideal Islamic system.

The book titled The Marketisation of Higher Education and the Student as Consumer has acceptable diverse matters, but lacks a clear analytical method and inner coherence in content. An overview of book showed that three broad concepts as what, why and nature of higher education cover the main subjects of the book. Analysis of what is marketization reveals that in a marketized higher education system, the admission of students, the price charged, the regulations of admittance and so on are determined by demand and supply. Additionally, examining why is marketization suggests that economic pressures, the difficulty of governmental finance, an increase in social demands, globalization, and so forth are the most important factors of driving universities toward marketization. In addition, benefits such as improvement of efficiency and expansion of competition are the prime reasons justifying marketization. Finally, higher education is not a public good which government to be its organizer. Therefore, higher education has the intrinsic capability of performance in the market framework.

Understanding the logic behind the success and failure in economic growth, and institutional and global arrangements is the subject of this book. Identifying growth’s binding constraints and the need for finding solutions for development issues according to the circumstances of countries is an alternative approach to this book on development. This paper aims at evaluating “One Economics, Many Recipe” in presenting an initiative for economic growth and development. Analytical-descriptive method is used in reviewing the book and conducting methodological assessment. The results indicated the advantages and challenges of the arguments put forwarded by the book. Among the advantages is the consideration of each country's circumstances in growth policy, the lack of one size fits all for economic policies for development, challenging the universalism of neoclassical teachings, the distinction between ignition of growth and its sustainability, and questioning of the exaggerating in the benefits of trade liberalization. Among the challenges are using the prescription on the title of the translated book, problems in implementing the growth diagnostic method, utilizing qualitative methods instead of quantitative in growth diagnosis in practice, neglecting policies and measures for the second stage in growth sustainability, and methodological assessment of growth diagnosis.

This article aims at reviewing Tamaddon’s idea about economic psychology, which is presented in his book titled as "Views on Economic Psychology". Firstly, the role of psychologism in the history of science and its relevance to philosophy, humanities, and social sciences is introduced. This is to say that, psychologism in Britain, utilitarianism, psychologism in Germany and the Austrian school of economics are reviewed. British psychologism which believes in universal scientific laws abstracted from experiences in order to explain human behavior, is crystallized in methodological individualism and rationalism. German psychologism in its historical approach is to understand and describe human behavior. The Austrian school of economics is somewhere between these two schools of psychologism, meaning that while it recognizes social and cultural entities, it is also indebted to methodological individualism. John Maynard Keynes introduces the concept of animal spirit and shows its impacts on individual behaviors and suggests the economic psychology of a society of individuals based on conventions. Secondly, the economic psychologism ideal of Tamaddon and its relevance to philosophical and economic thoughts, especially to that of John Maynard Keynes’ attitude is surveyed. This article is based on descriptive and analytical methodology.

The financial crisis of 2007-2008 has been the subject of research in different ways. The role of quantitative models and mathematical theories in the occurrence of this crisis and the other complications that such models cause in financial markets is the main theme of the book Lecturing Birds on Flying. By explaining the role of the educational system in creating a gap between theory and practice and the role of Quants in promoting and applying quantitative and computational models, the author gives a different account of the causes of financial crises. In this article, while examining the form and content of this work, by analyzing the theme as well as textual analysis techniques, the most important themes of this work as well as its foundations and place in the texts of financial knowledge are reviewed. Criticism of models such as value at risk, option pricing model, and copula functions has shown their contribution to bankruptcies and crises and has suggested that reform of the management and economics education system would make the financial models more realistic.

The unpleasant effect of Fiat money creation in disruption of economic equilibrium and class division creation is one of the main subjects of expert circles. Therefore, some researchers suggest “Theory of Gold Standard” instead of credit money. The book An Introduction to The Theory of Gold Standard: The Monetary System of the New Islamic Civilization is the most important book in explanation of this theory in Iranian publications. This article deals with the theoretical approach and it reviews the theory of the Gold Standard. The article shows the authors’ valuable concern about the monetary and banking system`s challenges and the unpleasant effects of Fiat money creation. Finally, the book cannot answer ambiguity and main questions scientifically and convincingly. Perhaps simultaneous using of Gold with credit money (no complete removal of credit money) is the more reasonable suggestion for the Iranian monetary system.

Social justice is one of the most widely used concepts in the social sciences and at the same time one of the most challenging. One end of the spectrum of theorizing is for the deniers and the other for the egalitarians. Although Von Hayek is considered as one of the steadfast deniers of justice, this view is not very accurate. The study of the cycles of intellectual life and the understanding of the theory of justice in the context of these cycles makes it clear that he should be considered as an institutionalist who emphasizes the importance of very abstract rules in governing free societies to solve the problem of harmony in economics. Distributive justice conflicts with such rules and leads to the creation of wealthy tribal communities because it causes inefficiency by failing to harmonize the economy. This method of theorizing has been neglected in many theories of justice, even in the most famous ones, because they do not pay much attention to the way people interact in society. At the same time, there are criticisms of this theory, including its lack of attention to the formation of interest groups in the economy, market failures, difficulty in recognizing fair rules of the game, and lack of attention to the negative impact of large inequalities on social order.

This essay examined the function of documents in qualitative, analytically descriptive methods within formal as well as content analysis. The results show that the book is edited proportionately and its formal survey is satisfied. The Art of Islamic Banking and Finance narrates the author’s (Yahia Abdul- Rahman) achievement in constituting an interest-free bank in the U.S.A. As a matter of fact, he explores banking and finance laws and regularities in the U.S as well as the Islamic banking system in the world. The remarkable difference between these two kinds of banking systems is that the former is based on the monetary market and the latter on the real economy. In the Islamic banking system, the rent expense of a commodity to be financed is measured based on rules known as “commodity indexation” and “marking to market”. Moreover, in such a system, the interest rate of the ordinary banking system is substituted with the rent expense of a commodity. Thus, rent expenses are not fixed like interest rates. The prominent characteristic of an Islamic banking system is not only its interest-free feature but also its civility and social responsibility. The main pitfalls of the book include a lack of comprehensive discussion and a lack of reporting the Islamic banking systems of other Muslim countries. Besides, no thorough analysis of banking system experiences has been done and has not paid attention to the critique of the Iranian banking system.

The main idea of the authors is that these three elements can provide the basis for the correct guidance of the two factors of resource endowment and adaptation to the market structure towards endogenous regional development. This statement is based on facts revealed in different parts of the world. The method of the present article in reviewing the book is documentary and analytical and the purpose is to evaluate the work with an emphasis on its content critique. The results of the study show that although the concepts contained in the book cover part of the scientific needs of the country, it has shortcomings such as not testing the proposed model, mentioning indicators that cannot be measured accurately, and using inappropriate criteria in measuring is one of the introduced indicators. In addition, a precise and specific definition of the region is not given. Furthermore, expressing the experiences of different regions, which makes up a large part of the book, lacks a general conclusion.

While the book covers a wide variety of subjects in behavioral economics and finance, it fails to logically connect the materials together within a broader context. The authors neither provided theoretical foundations nor investigated applied aspects of behavioral economics and finance systematically. Furthermore, a good deal of materials is translated from English. The authors provide a list of behavioral biases followed by prescriptions to fight against them without proofing that increasing information cause behavior change. This is not consistent with an evidence-based approach to behavioral economics and finance. Moreover, the existence of personal and unproven prescriptions in the book is simply unscientific that undermines the credibility of behavioral economics and finance.

Ney Publishing has published this book which is translated by Mr. Reza Hosseini and now it is one of the educational resources of microeconomics in postgraduate studies in Iranian universities. Given the valuable position of this book, its translation requires a critical review and this article has tried to evaluate the weaknesses and strengths of this book according to the analytical-descriptive method by quantitative and qualitative analysis. It means discussing the appearance features, writing, edition, idiomatic translations, and text translation. It has been concluded that the translation of this book is quantitatively acceptable, but it has qualitative disadvantages that are not sufficient for the translation of an academic scientific book. Entrepreneurship transforms the challenges of regions into opportunities such as increasing employment and income rates, reducing crimes caused by unemployment and poverty. Clearly, entrepreneurship development is not possible without efficient institutions that respond creatively and entrepreneurially to local and regional issues and challenges. Hence, the purpose of the present study is to identify the institutional barriers to entrepreneurship development in Iran from a historical perspective before the Islamic Revolution of 1979. Therefore, 12 sources related to Iran's underdevelopment have been selected and were analyzed by using the theme analysis strategy and Atlas T software in two stages of open and axial coding. According to the results, the main root of entrepreneurship underdevelopment in Iran should be examined in the course of history, and the unfavorable business environment at the present time is not the only reason for the lack of entrepreneurship development in Iran . The most important institutional barriers identified in the studied texts can be classified into 6 main categories: administrative barriers, economic barriers, social and cultural barriers, legal and regulatory barriers, political barriers, personal and cognitive barriers, which are part of these barriers (administrative, economic, legal-regulatory, political) in the category of formal institutions and another part (socio-cultural and cognitive-personal) in the category of informal institutions.

From long ago, economics has considered the family issue, but the science of "family economics" in the current economic literature is a serious new branch. Studies show the limited and a few attentions of Iranian researchers to this economic branch. The book "Household Economics" is one of the few works that has tried to provide basic explanations of common concepts in family economics, in order to provide an introduction to access to richer fields based on religious and national concepts. This article, respecting this valuable target and understanding the need for such rich writings in this field, has tried to review the book "Household Economics". The article is organized in five sections and meanwhile introducing the book briefly, some formal objections and writing principles are pointed out. In the content criticism, the following issues are mentioned: Lack of the necessary comprehensiveness of the work based on the theoretical literature, ignoring the main target society of the book by the authors as well as the indiscriminate use of multiple sources and translations. In general, the book lacks the power of effective analysis and presentation of the specific offer. Since the purpose of reviewing this book in this article is to evaluate the book's competence for its educational status in interdisciplinary studies, the present book seems to be far from achieving this goal.

Recent years have experienced affluent literature in behavioral economics in Persian scope. The Principles of Behavioral Economics: Individual Decision-Making written by Maryam Haji-MollaDarvish is one of these works which is reviewed and criticized in this paper. The focus on the book is on individual decision-making and to this extent, after introducing neoclassic models, the theories of behavioral economics are discussed. However, most parts of the book are devoted to introducing neoclassic models while seems unnecessary. The book lacks any coherent theme or main idea and it is just a collection of discussions in behavioral economics. Having no discussion about behavioral issues of Iranian economics has unleashed the book just as a translation work. In spite of insisting on the complementary role of behavioral economics for neoclassic one and not rejecting it, most behavioral economists declare it as a heterodox school against mainstream neoclassic economics. The book is suitable as an auxiliary resource for microeconomics 1 and behavioral economic course.

The book “Parliament and the Development of National Economy in Iran” is a book that examines the role of parliament in the underdevelopment of Iran's national economy. The main issue is the book of Iran's underdevelopment, but the author makes no mention of the problematic role of parliament in development. In the theoretical explanation of the problem, the book tries to combine the theories of Katozian, Leftovich, and the rentier state by choosing the theory of rational choice as the starting point in order to explain the underdevelopment. Finally, the author confirms his theoretical framework, arguing that the combination of the effects of the rentier government and the dual-majority electoral system as a structured platform for the action of political actors weakens the national economy. A critical review of the book shows that the author has not been able to express his problem accurately. The theories used in the research are incompletely presented. The research method has lost its critical aspect and the theories used are responsible for establishing relationships between variables; something that had to be done by reasoning. The presence and absence of the book with the comprehensive presence of the variables were done in a defective way and the research results did not result from the theoretical and methodological requirements of the book.

The book “Feasibility Study of Issuance of Sukuk in Iranian Economy, a Case Study of Mining and Mining Industries” is a report of a research project carried out by Amir Hossein Mozini in the Economics Research Institute of Tarbiat Modares University. This work deals with how the mining sector is financed through the issuance of Istisna's Sukuk. This article, while introducing the work in general, examines and critiques it from the formal and content aspects. The findings of this paper show that although it provides a methodical method for examining the possibility of using Sukuk in different sectors of the economy and is somewhat of a practical effect, it has both formal and content characteristics. There are also some drawbacks such as lack of literary and scientific editing of the work, the weakness in the logical order and sequence of content, and the topics do not have the necessary strength. Ignoring first-hand sources and confusion in how to refer are other drawbacks of this work. In this work, the author does not mention the role of the Central Bank of Iran and the impact of its policies, especially its role in the regulatory pricing of Sukuk. This is one of the most important reasons why various economic sectors do not welcome Sukuk as an Islamic financing tool.
