According to the author, ethnicity and ethnic groups are modern categories and have no history in Iran. The three factors of the centralist and authoritarian state, the utilitarianism of the elites and the international forces played a role in the emergence of these conflicts and the formation of ethnicity. The book examines ethnicity and ethnocentrism in the context of internal and external political and social relations; It also shows the constructiveness of ethnic nationalism based on abundant historical data. In line with the book's themes, the author introduces inclusive government, highlighting cultural commonalities, and de-escalation policies as appropriate strategies for dealing with Iran's multicultural situation. There are criticisms of this work that can be mentioned as follows: the book has used different approaches without combining them and lacks paradigm coherence; Like positivists, it seeks a criterion for determining the boundaries of ethnicity, but there is no such criterion; All the arguments of the book in the direction of the construction of ethnicity are also applicable to national identity, but the author is silent about this and falls into a kind of national essentialism; It downplays the role of economic policies and development plans in ethnic conflicts; Finally, it neglects the impact of modern social change and the inevitable presence of the "other" in the formation of ethnicity.}, keywords = {ethnicity,elites,Nationalism,State,other}, title_fa = {بررسی و نقد کتاب قومیت و قوم‌گرایی در ایران؛ افسانه و واقعیت}, abstract_fa = {کتاب قومیت و قوم‌گرایی؛ افسانه و واقعیت، پژوهشی دربارۀ منازعات گروه‌های قومی در ایران پس از جنگ جهانی اول تا دهه‌های پایانی سدۀ چهاردهم خورشیدی است. از نظر نویسنده، قومیت و گروه‌های قومی مقوله‌های مدرنی هستند و سابقه‌ای در تاریخ ایران ندارند. سه عامل دولت تمرکزگرا و اقتدارطلب، منفعت‌طلبیِ نخبگان، و نیروهای بین‌الملل در ظهور این منازعات و شکل‌گیری قومیت سهم داشتند. این کتاب، به‌گونه‌ای زمینه‌مند، قومیت و قوم‌گرایی را در بطن مناسبات سیاسی و اجتماعی داخلی و خارجی بررسی می‌کند. هم‌چنین، برساختی‌بودن ناسیونالیسم قومی را براساس داده‌های تاریخیِ فراوانْ مستدل می‌سازد. نویسنده درجهت مباحث کتاب دولت فراگیر، برجسته‌کردن اشتراکات فرهنگی، و سیاست تنش‌زدایی را استراتژی‌های مناسبی برای مواجهه با وضعیت چندفرهنگی ایران معرفی می‌کند. انتقاداتی به این اثر وارد است که می‌توان به این موارد اشاره کرد: کتاب از رویکردهای گوناگونی بدون تلفیق آن‌ها استفاده کرده است و انسجام پارادایمی ندارد؛ مانند اثبات‌گرایان، دنبال معیاری برای تعیین حدود و ثغور قومیت است، اما چنین معیاری وجود ندارد. غالب استدلال‌‌های کتاب درجهت برساختی‌بودن قومیت به هویت ملی نیز اطلاق‌پذیر است، اما نویسنده در‌این‌باره سکوت می‌کند و به‌نوعی ذات‌گراییِ ملی فرو می‌غلطد، نقش سیاست‌های اقتصادی و برنامه‌های توسعه در منازعات قومی را کم‌رنگ جلوه می‌دهد، و سرانجام، از تأثیر تغییرات اجتماعی مدرن و حضور اجتناب‌ناپذیر «دیگری» در شکل‌گیری قومیت غفلت می‌ورزد.}, keywords_fa = {دولت,دیگری,قومیت,ناسیونالیسم,نخبگان}, url = {https://criticalstudy.ihcs.ac.ir/article_7637.html}, eprint = {https://criticalstudy.ihcs.ac.ir/article_7637_a6e59db3381e18fedeff8f45f86014cf.pdf} }
