Journal Article 2019 09 20 This essay is trying to analyze and review the book, according to determined measures. This book has valuable, comprehensive, and new information about contemporary photography theories. Authors in every section focused on the special subject. The book includes seven main sections and a thorough appendix. Reviewing this book indicates that the book has been successful in paying close attention to recent discussions in photography theories. Giving references to credible references adds to the richness and validity of the book. Most sections are very useful for teaching courses of photography theory in university. Moreover, the translation of this book to Persian language is reliable. Every section of the book does not depend on another section, so every section can be regarded as a book. At last, the book deals with the description of the theories rather than the critique of ideas. این متن در چهارچوب سنجه‌های تعیین‌شده کتاب <em>عکاسی: درآمدی انتقادی</em> را تحلیل‌ و نقد می‌کند. این کتاب با هفت فصل و یک پیوست مفصل حجم وسیعی از اطلاعات متنوع و جدیدِ مرتبط با نظریه‌پردازی در عکاسی را دارد و نویسندگان هریک بر موضوعی خاص در عکاسی معاصر تمرکز دارند. پس از بررسی فرمی و محتوایی کتاب مشخص شد که به‌خوبی توانسته بخش بزرگی از دغدغه‌های امروز عکاسی را روشن کند. ارجاع فراوان به آرای متنوع و متفاوت صاحب‌نظرانِ دانشگاهی بر غنای محتواییِ آن افزوده است و بسیاری از بخش‌های آن قابلیت آموزش در دانشگاه را دارد. ترجمة کتاب مطلوب است و مفاهیم به‌راحتی درک می‌شود. هم‌چنین، با‌توجه‌به خودبسندگی و وابسته‌نبودن فصل‌ها به یک‌دیگر، هریک از آن‌ها می‌تواند خود کتابی مستقل باشد. روند کتاب بیش‌تر طرح و توصیف نظریه‌هاست و مسیر انتقادیِ خاصی را دنبال نمی‌کند. https://criticalstudy.ihcs.ac.ir/article_5257_0ea24de9c88ad628c73bbb5c6e156ed9.pdf
