This article is a review of the Routledge Handbook of Planning Research Methods. The review attempts to summarize the content of the book and to show how understanding the methodology affects the work of academics and professionals. Among other methodology books, The Routledge Handbook is a genuine reference and the reasons can be summarized as follows: Unlike other dominant sources, this book has specifically explored the relations in the field of planning and stays within the discipline. It has also attempted to promote methodology from rigid and homogeneous entities to academics to the dynamic practices in the personal, social, and professional lives of researchers. Numerous articles in the book are mostly concerned with the link between theory and practice, and to establish this link they underpin the research production process. In the end, a brief evaluation of the content of the book is made and the necessity of incorporating it into the formal planning pedagogy is stated.

Methodology is important in every science. Legal studies, for a long time, has been in the deficiency of suitable methodology and methods of doing research. In spite of this specific deficiency, in other fields of human sciences, such as management, there exist some advancements that can solve many issues in legal studies. Because of the absence of modern research methods in legal studies, it has been a long time that we have seen an obvious downtrend in this field. In spite of this unacceptable practice in law science, we see impressive movements and advancements in management science. Therefore, this paper by analyzing the book “ Method of Research in Legal Studies”, written by Dr. Javid tries to make these two fields, law and management, closer, hoping that in the future, the rapprochement of these two fields can solve the issues of society by applying new methods of management sciences to law sciences.

Acceleration of technological and scientific discoveries in recent decades led to the ramification of different branches of academic fields, which per se led to the flourishing of publication with the topics dedicated to the basics and introduction of these new fields. “An Introduction to Genetic Archaeology”, by Kamaledin Niknami and Maryam Ramezani falls into this kind of publication, which was published by SAMT in 10 chapters and 424 pages. The book enjoys a good quality print and while some grammatical and misspellings can be seen in few pages, it generally satisfies the reader’s taste. However, the content of the book is not as good as its configuration. Some fluctuation is evident in its narration and its language; the length of the chapters is not balanced, and it does not follow an explicit order from the beginning to the end. Furthermore, the book does not appreciate and respect copy-write rule, and it contains many cases of plagiarisms which are described in the paper in details. With respect to the copy- write and other laws considering this issue in the country, the paper suggests that the book be gathered from the market, and after correcting these pitfalls, it can be redistributed to the book market.
