Feminism is a school of thought that has been found to restore the oppressed rights of women and establish equity with and sometimes supremacy over men. After its pervasion in Western countries, the phenomenon slipped through such Muslim nations as Saudi Arabia. In her novel "Ontha al-Aankaboot" (Female Spider), Qumasha al-Ayan, a Saudi Arabian author, addresses women's problems and the challenges facing feministic movements in her country. Using a descriptive-analytic method, this study aims to firstly investigate the differences between the social structures of western and Islamic countries regarding feminist approaches and secondly to demonstrate the obstacles against the advancement of the feminist movement in Saudi Arabia to discuss social problems women face in that society with emphasis on the afore-mentioned novel. As the study results show, the Industrial Revolution and the subsequent need for women's workforce induced feministic feelings in Western countries. In contrast, such feelings have not found the opportunity to develop in Islamic nations, specifically in Saudi Arabia, since there is not only a fundamental conflict between Islam and feminism but also the normalization of patriarchy in these countries. Moreover, the male-oriented interpretation of laws in some Arab Muslim countries has limited women in different areas.

After a decade of drafting the bill "Dignity and Protection of Women against Violence", the bill is on the agenda of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Iranian Parliament). This article considers "a critique of the bill from the standpoint of principles and rules of legislation" as its main mission. The analysis method is descriptive-analytical. This article focuses on the legislative policies as a view of the desired quality of legislation in the Iranian legal system. The results of the article show that the bill is not very defensible in terms of adherence to the principles of legislation. Non-observance of depuration principles, confusion of the status of law and legal document, excessive use of criminal tools, and ambiguity in some concepts and titles are the most important of these criticisms. The provisions of the bill have been drafted ignoring the requirements of upstream national documents and without considering the requirements of the hierarchy of norms of the Iranian legal system. It seems that if approved, the bill will result in the implementation of a cultural disorder and the induction of a critical situation of violence in Iranian society and an increase in international attacks.

Deleuze's philosophical commentary on Spinoza is a critically important work because its conclusions provide the foundations for Deleuze's later metaphysical speculations on the nature of power, the body, difference and singularities. Deleuze and Spinoza is the first book to examine Deleuze's philosophical assessment of Spinoza and appraise his arguments concerning the Absolute, the philosophy of mind, epistemology and moral and political philosophy. The author respects and disagrees with Deleuze the philosopher and suggests that his arguments not only lead to eliminativism and a Hobbesian politics, but also they cast a mystifying spell. Opposed to feminist philosophers who find Deleuze's theories practical for the third wave feminism, Gillian Howie proposes that a turning to Marxism and critical theory would be an answer.
