Although more than two decades have passed since the publication of the first edition of The Logical Relationship between Religion and Applied Sciences, this book is still one of the most coherent and accurate works, showing the position of this intellectual current. The author of the book has tried to show the position of the Academy of Islamic Sciences on these issues, considering the academic literature on topics such as science, technology, and development. So, this book was regarded for proper introduction and critique. In this article, we have shown that the author of the book does not have much control over the latest controversies in the field of science and religion studies - even in contemporary Iran. Today’s controversy, which has challenged European-Christian hegemony based on the study of science and religion, could open a new space for a different view of the relationship between religion, culture, and technology. Therefore, it is expected that the author will write the second edition of the book, considering the latest achievements of contemporary scientology and theology.

The purpose of this study was to review the book entitled "The Identity of Religious Science: An Epistemological View in Relation to Religion and Human Sciences" (Bagheri, 2003). In terms of form, the book had the most sought criteria and was therefore desirable. The author, in content, has shown an attempt to achieve a religious model in proving science and paying attention to the experience. However, the book also has some shortcomings, including: 1) neglecting the interactive effect of the senses, wisdom and heart, 2) reduction of reality to evident reality, 3) lack of logical link between ontology, epistemology and methodology, and 4) reducing the sources of knowledge and limiting the criterion of certainty to empirical matters. Given that a) the senses, wisdom, and the intuitive perceptions form knowledge in permanent interaction, b) all human experiences are related to the rational insight and the intuitive belief of the individual that is determined; therefore, it is desirable that Muslim scholars, based on the interaction and coordination between the senses and the mind and the heart, explain the way in which the human perceptual system is manifested, providing criteria for distinguishing correct perception of incorrect perception.

The book From Secular Science to Religious Science (Golshani, 1998/2013) is the result of an attempt to criticize the secular approach to science and call to a religious approach to science. The author has taken two steps in criticizing the secular approach. First, he argue that science needs an orientation; an orientation that stems from the scientist’s worldview. In the meantime, the author criticizes positivism and attempts to show that science has metaphysical presuppositions. Second, the author argues that science needs morality in the application of scientific findings without which it leads to destruction. Using the methods of internal and external critique, this article argues that in spite of the author’s attention to the relationship between science and metaphysics, he has not been successful in the exploration of this relationship. This is because, on the one hand, he reduces the relationship to the application of findings and the realm of ethics and, on the other hand, he regards metaphysics as something that is added to science a posteriori. The very additional and a posteriori approach urges the author to take a neutral nature for science that, in its turn, shows that he has not completely freed himself from positivism. This article suggests that a proper conception of religious science regards an integrative relationship between science and metaphysics. Contrary to Reichenback, and Stanmark following him, this relationship does not lead science to the malign relativism even though a sound degree of relativism would involve science.

Ijtehadic Paradigm of Religious Science is an influential book in the field ofreligious science. According to the potentials and limitations of the concept ofparadigm in Kuhn's philosophy of science, and compared with other terms suchas school and doctrine, as well as other variables including ontology, epistemology, anthropology, and methodology in the literature of Hawzah, the authors have redefined theparadigm and presented their theory based on this new definition. In the "Ijtehadic Paradigm of Religious Science" they have attemptedto show that the results of Ijtehadic method are valid and consideredas knowledge. Moreover, they have shown how to use different resources andmethods coherently. In this paper, different aspects of the book are reviewed in the light of a critical approach.
