Abstract
The aim of the present research is a critical analysis of the book ‘Family in the Attitude of Islam and Psychology’ written by Mohammad Reza Salarifar, which was published in 2004 and reached its 22nd edition by 2022. The research methodology is a combination of two methods of critical philosophical exploration and educational criticism, and qualitative content analysis was used for the purpose of data analysis. Based on the findings, the strengths of the book include formal comprehensiveness, page layout and good quality of printing and journalism, suitable book break, fluent and expressive text, compliance with the general rules of writing, brief introduction of the chapters at the beginning of the book, paying attention to the two important perspectives of Islam and spirituality. Knowledge is in the topic of family and documentary references. The shortcomings of the work are also the completion of the cover design, the lack of determining the goals of each chapter, the lack of summary of the chapters, the lack of clear connection between the chapters, the long paragraphs, the lack of use of new sources, the leveling of the concepts of Islam and psychology, the lack of attention to related schools. Psychology is not paying attention to other dimensions of the family issue and does not cover the topics approved by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.
