Due to its unique features and emergence of new concepts and meanings after the revelation of Quran, Arabic language has been the center of attention by the semantic experts from the beginning until the contemporary era. Among contemporary linguists and syntax analysts, Fazel Sameraii has also written some works, one of which is the book “Al-jomlat ol-Arabia val-Mani”. In this study, it has been tried to investigate and analyze this book in terms of both form and content. The results of the study show that this book is in line with the Islamic approaches, and the writer also has control of the authentic resources. In understanding Arabic sentences, Sameraii has used constructivist semantics. He also exploited role-oriented linguistics by making use of Maqam and style symmetry. Although he could not propose a comprehensive approach to the role of symmetrical relationships in semantics like Tamam Hasan, who developed the theory of symmetrical correlation, he mentioned the role of each symmetry in its own place, which was a success. However, in terms of form, the book lacks rudimentary and didactic tools. As well as the strengths, some suggestions have been provided concerning the weak points.

This article is a critical analysis of William G. Lycan's Philosophy of Language: a Contemporary Introduction (2nd ed.) that is translated to Persian by Meysam Mohammadamini. "Language Philosophy" is one of the courses in the field of Linguistics which is offered by the Ministry of Education to be taught. The author tries to rely on the first-hand sources and report the disputes of the language philosophers on the nature of the meaning and the related theories without bias. He tries to avoid falling into the complexities of philosophy and discuss the issues with a rational order. Since Persian texts are rare and mostly out of date, this translation becomes of particular importance. Moreover, language philosophers are not supposed to be the only readers of the book. Scholars of linguistics, also deal with the issues of language philosophy in recent years. The book has a rich and well-engineered content. This article gives a brief introduction of the book, provides a preview of the philosophy of language. Then, the structure of the book is introduced regarding all its components. The evaluation and analysis of the book in terms of both form and content constitutes the center of the discussion, during which the weaknesses and strengths of the translation are emphasized, especially in terms of comprehensibility and readability of the text, the choice of technical terminology and proper rendering of the author's concepts.

Semantics examines the effective ways of language application, and rhetoricians try to teach the eloquence skills to others and perceive the mystery of the eloquent speech by extracting the effective principles of utterance. The premise of Persian Dari rhetoric books is based on the translation of Arabic rhetorical books with several inserted Persian examples, and has long been quoted the same as a few frequent old examples of the deceased, which indicates that the authors do not properly understand the rhetoric. In this article, the book "Rhetoric 1 (semantics)", which is the textbook of the largest university in the country, Payame Noor, was criticized and evaluated in terms of form, content, methodology and theory. Among the merits of the book, it is possible to mention the topics of semantics on the basis of the Persian grammar categories. Among its defects, it is possible to mention the imposition of the rules of Arabic rhetoric on Persian language, the disregard for the dynamics of language, the appropriation of semantics to literary language, the old black or white (biased) attitude towards Rhetoric, lack of attention to the work’s wholeness and inattentiveness to the oral and auditory aspects of language.

The book on rhetoricians’ effects in Nahj-ul-Balaghah by Dr. Mohammad Khaghani is a valuable book from two points of view: First, because of author’s good authority in review and analysis of various topics in Rhetoric in valuable work of Nahj-ul- Balaghah. Second, because of author’s worthy of praise effort in collecting of this book and providing personal opinion on some issues, but with overcoming on some shortcomings of this work and with doing some modifications in edition or content, it can increase the value of this work. Therefore, this paper is trying to help to fix the flaws of this book with presenting some comments and corrections.

Ilmud-dilalah” (Semantics) by Ahmad Mukhtar Omar is among the books translated into Persian by Seyyed Hossein Seyyedi, a faculty member of Mashhad University. Considerable usage of the main and original research sources by the writer, and his command of the record of studies done in semantics in the Muslims’ old linguistic heritage have given the book a special position in the semantic studies, which makes its translation necessary. The cover design, typography, page layout, punctuations, and typographical errors of the translated book were considered in the examination of the form. Examination of the content of the translation focused on the faithfulness in translation of all parts of the book, faithfulness in full translation of the text, faithfulness in conveying the content, specialized terms, literal translation, explanatory footnotes, and the citation style. In this translation criticism which is based on a contrastive attitude, two categories of the options and limitations of the translator were examined, but the focus was more on the limitations. Examinations showed that the translation was done so hastily, and in practice just little scientific and literary revisions were done on it. It has caused a number of errors and shortcomings in this translation to be greater than the number of its advantages, and many parts of the book need to be translated again.
