This study is attempted to review the book “education in NahjulBalagha” by “AbdAlmajidZahadat”. The importance of this review is in its topic concerning education in NahjulBalagha. The significance of this review is also due to the point that this subject is the academic unit both in master’s and PhD programs in philosophy of Islamic education. The objective of this research review is to detect the strengths and weaknesses of the work as an academic textbook and to help it be corrected and completed so as to be used in education and research courses of higher education. The review method was citation analysis based on the review model proposed by Institute of Humanities and Cultural Studies, the council for investigation of humanities books and texts. In this model, a “general introduction”is provided and then “form analysis (advantages and shortcomings)” and “content analysis (advantages and shortcomings)” are carried out. The research results reveal that this book is approved concerning its topics and expressing and explaining the documentations. However, regarding content comprehensiveness and its compatibility with the curriculum presented by the ministry of science, research and technologyand thorough and deep consideration of the discussions relevant to Imam Ali’s educational viewpoint in NahjulBalagha requires fundamental revision. Moreover, the content of the book doesn’t cover all viewpoints of Imam Ali in various dimensions of education and training. Therefore, the title of this book is too general for its content.

Abstract The aim of the present study is to critique the book "applied attitude on: the teaching methods and the art of teaching. The content analysis method was used to evaluate the book. It was written by Gholam Ali Sarmad (PhD). The text is written in simple and clear language. There was fair and balanced distribution of content between chapters as well. The examples given in the text are often indigenous and based on experiences of the author have been developed. The editing and grammatical aspects of the book has been done well and has the least incorrect Persian writing. These points can be considered in the book review: The book has not detailed introduction or preface. The Chapters ordering has not rational structure. Theoretical concepts and research findings related to teaching-learning domain are poor. As well as modern teaching methods have been mentioned poorly. For the quality improvement of schools, we should focus on professional development of teachers. Professional development included all the opportunities and experiences that are systematically planned for teachers’ professional development. This is exactly the supervision which have been addressed in supervision theory of Nolan and Hoover. This theory is a new approach to teaching and provides opportunities for teachers to enable them to grow beyond their current level of performance. supervision is a broad concept that includes learning experiences during in – the job- training and on- the job- training activities. This kind of new conceptualization includes supervision options such as peer counseling, self-directed learning and action research, Collegial Development Groups, professional learning communities, school-based learning is also included. This paper first describes the overall effect and intellectual and philosophical foundations of supervision theory, then it reviews and evaluates them. In theory analysis, the gap between supervision theory and the real world of school and classroom have been mentioned in the sense that this theory is not spread in practice and the real world. Application of the theory does not mean that something beyond the daily experiences of the principals must be done. But theory must serve the decision-making process and logic. Theory makes management activities done more effectively with full knowledge of the approved theoretical frameworks of action in educational situations. So, a theory would be useful only when it is related to instructional practice. In addition, Collegial Development Groups, as a new paradigm, the professional development is different in various situations, and even in a different position and can vary in dimensions. There is no better model of professional development than the other models that can be used in all schools. The needs of schools and teachers should be evaluated, and cultural beliefs and practices should be considered for decision-making. These subjects make the usability of the theory in trouble. Finally, conclusions and suggestions are presented.

The present article aims at critically analyzing the curriculum change patterns. To this end, the "Critical Philosophical Exploration" method was used. The statistical population comprised all sources including books, articles, studies and the related research that were selected as the sample mostly through purposive sampling. Through a logbook, the required data were collected and they were analyzed through verbal, visual, and logical inference. Based on the research findings, the curriculum change patterns include Concerns-Based Adoption Mode, systemic change, barriers and resistance to change, change conditions, factors affecting change implementation, three-level organizational change, change characteristics, change process, and three-level systemic educational change. The models, most of which are based on the teleological approach to change and the top-down linear approach to curriculum change, are non-systematic and atomistic and provide an incomplete description and explanation of the reality of curriculum change.
