Hussain ibn Musa ibn Jafar is a famous Alawi person who transmitted some Hadiths from his father Imam Musa al Kazim and his brother, Imam Ali ibn Musa al Rida (A.S). This lofty position and proximity to the Imamate line, caused the construction of some attributed Sepulchers to him in many cities, of which Tabas, located in the east of Iran, has more fame. Ali Akhavan Mahdavi has written a book on this important personality, his life, and his real place of burring. The present study aims to examine the book critically, therefore, tries to introduce and examine the book, then discusses some problems in it and presents suggestions regarding both the form and the content. So, we prepare our study with the use of a descriptive-analytical approach and of course a special usage of the main historical sources to which compare the contents of them. In conclusion, the author reached some important innovations in comparison with similar sources and studies, and it is completely clear by analyzing the content of hadith and genealogy books. Examination of the Akhavan Mahdavi's book showed that although this book has many advantages and has been effective on subsequent works written on this subject, but shortcomings such as lack of research background and critique of sources, the author's little use of Hadith and Rijal sources are among the cons. Some of the author's citations have diminished the book's credibility.

The present paper has been written with the aim of analyzing and reviewing the Persian translation of An Introduction to Cognitive Linguistics by Jahanshah Mirzabeigi (2018). Analyzing the English version of the book revealed that, although it is one of the main and well-known textbooks in the field, it has some deficiencies among which we can mention insufficient attention to the basic principles and assumptions of cognitive linguistics, language universals and linguistic diversity from the perspective of cognitive linguistics, embodiment and the embodied basis of language and cognition. Also, although some issues in cognitive semantics, such as metaphor, metonymy, image schemas, and conceptual blending are well addressed in the book, some other issues such as force dynamics are neglected. Analyzing the Persian translation of the book showed that there are some deficiencies and drawbacks, the most important of which are: inappropriate equivalents for certain technical and non-technical terms, relatively considerable errors in translation of words, expressions, and sentences, and numerous errors in intra- and extra-textual references. In this regard, it is suggested that the book should be revised in terms of spelling, eloquence, and translation accuracy.

"The Dictionary of Tun (Ferdows) Dialect" is a book about one of the Iranian dialects that is common in Khorasan province. This book is the result of several years of cooperation between Mohammad Jafar Yahaghi, Rahmatullah Abrishami and Ahmad Armaghani. Of course, the scientific compilation and preparation of this work for publication has been the responsibility of Yahaghi. In this book, common words in the dialect of Tun have been collected and documented. In compiling this book, as its name implies, Yahaghi has only considered the words of this dialect and has refrained from addressing the grammatical features of this dialect. Of course, there is little information about grammatical features in the book's introduction. Although this book is essential and valuable in terms of collecting and documenting words of one of the common linguistic varieties in Khorasan, the author has not acted following the scientific methods common in reporting dialects, therefore using valuable lexical data of this book is not easy for researchers. In this paper, I examine the words collected in this book and the method of compiling them.

The relationship between Historical Sociology (HS) and International Relations (IR) is one of the relatively new fields of study, which has attracted the attention of researchers and activists of both fields during the last few decades. In other words, the impact of the international environment on internal developments is the basis for the emergence of this field of study with general titles such as International Historical Sociology (IHS) or Historical Sociology of International Relations (HSIR) during the first years or decade of the current century. The theoretical research on the book, World Historical Sociology (GHS), raises the question of whether it is possible to know World Historical Sociology as a conjuncture point between mentioned fields of study. The authors of the book is criticized claim this tenet as a transdisciplinary branch includes three areas of World Sociology, Historical Sociology, and World History. The studies carried out show that ambiguity in the possibility of methodological integration of the fields of sociology and history on the one hand and neglect of the position of the state in global transformations or its overlapping with the newly emerging field of Global Studies causes the current deficiencies in the content and methodological coherence of the book. However, the mentioned attitude can be more carefully considered and developed in the future. In this article, it will be tried to express the strengths and weaknesses of this work with a critical view.

In this article, I have a critical approach to the problem of "translation" in the field of knowledge and information science and offer some cases from a book, namely "Personal Knowledge Management". This article is a review of the mentioned book but it is a good sample for describing and criticizing the condition of translation in the human sciences. In this article, the conceptual analysis method was used and after a concise review of the importance of criticism and a brief description of the methodology, I started a formal critique on the book. Then, I reviewed the sections of the book and its contents. After that, I began with two levels of criticism: critics on the content and critics on the quality of the translation. The most important criticism of the content is the projection of English structure on the Persian grammar. Moreover, the most important criticism of the content is the absence of practical advice, tips, and tricks for better personal knowledge management. Another important criticism is the absence of ethical considerations in the practice of personal knowledge management and the moral obligation of individuals, foundations, associations, and organizations about the subject matter.

The book “Why Nations Fail: The Roots of Power, Wealth and Poverty" written by Daron Ajmoglu and James E. Robinson is one of the works of new institutionalism. By examining the history of nations, the authors have analyzed the reasons for the growth and decline of societies. This work, like other works of the authors, is based on the comparative study of the long-term development experience of different nations. In this article, while examining the formal structure and quality of the translation of the book, which was done by Mohsen Mirdamadi and Mohammad Hossein Naimipour, the content of the book has also been examined. The book has content and methodological weaknesses. The authors claim to have derived their theory with a historical approach and an inductive method, but in fact, by choosing oriented analytical and comparative methods and of course philosophical ones, they have presented an ideological reading of the history of countries and the quality of their development. The lack of statistical evidence and the contention of the analytical method and repeated emphasis on the author's opinion with repeated identifications have weakened the content of the book. Claiming to be inductive and rejecting this claim by using an analogical approach is one of the most important problems of this book. The book has a fluent translation, but it has many editing problems. The design of its cover and back cover unfairly evokes a black, defeated, and poor image of the people of Iran.

The present article reviews Jones “Macroeconomics”, translated by Jahangard and Keramatfar. In this regard, an attempt has been made to examine the book in terms of content and translation using an analytical-descriptive method. Content analysis of the work indicates its usefulness for teaching at the university. Introducing the DSGE model in a fluent and simple way for undergraduate students, which is described with a practical example, is the most important achievement of the book. Also, the concepts of macroeconomics are presented simply and according to the revealed facts. Lack of attention to solving numerical examples as well as expressing different economic schools and the role of books in this regard are among the shortcomings of the main text. Publishing a book in Persian is valuable because of the analysis of the new Keynesian approach. However, translating a book has many drawbacks that in some cases make it difficult to read and understand. In addition, parts of the original version that are necessary to understand the content have not been translated. Therefore, it is suggested that the translated text be re-edited.

This paper assesses the content as well as the Persian Translation quality (TQA) of Fables of the Ancients by A. Dundes. Dundes tried to show that Qur''''''''''''''''an, and especially its stories, is rooted in the stories of other religious books, and hence, it can be viewed from the perspective of oral literary theories. But for some reasons, Dundas does not succeed in examining the Qur''''''''''''''''an as folklore. This essay, on the one hand, tries to study Dundes'''''''''''''''' views and opinions about the Quran as a book, especially his research methodology, in the light of the the other Quranic scholars'''''''''''''''' opinions, and on the other hand, is a kind of assessment of the quality of its Persian translation at the lexical, syntactic, and semantic levels. Dundes'''''''''''''''' analysis and explanation of the the Qur''''''''''''''''anic tales is considered superficial. Generally, Dundes has paid much attention to the unique stylistic features of the Quranic discourse, and how these features are employed as a vehicle for a specifically religious message. However, the more the translator comes to the end of the book; the more her translation becomes coherent, acceptable, and communicative. However, the translation still needs to be edited once again.

The book “Usule elme servate melal ya’ni economiypolitik” (Principles of the Wealth of Nations, Namely Économie Politique), translated by Mohammad Ali Foroughi, known as Zoka-ul-Molk (the second), is the first scientific book in the field of economics in Iran. As a result, after its republication in recent decades, it has received more attention and reflection from an economic perspective. However, its political implications have been overlooked, especially considering that this work was published in the discursive conflict of the constitutional era. The present article seeks to revisit the book in question by employing Michel Foucault's ideas regarding the relationship between political economy and governmentality from a historical sociological perspective. It aims to analyze the book's political implications and address the question of whether the translation and publication of this work can be considered evidence of the formation of an "economic-political discourse" in Iran. After examining the main themes of the book and its implications for politics and governance, the article responds to the aforementioned question by stating that although Paul Beauregard wrote the book “Économie Politique” within the "discourse of political economy" in France, Mohammad Ali Foroughi translated it in Iran during the dominance of the "legal discourse" of the constitutional era. Therefore, the translation and publication of this book cannot be regarded as an example of an "economic-political discourse" in Iran.

Abstract According to the scholastic traditions and the familiar and accustomed ways, in the educational settings, majority of the discourses on non-mother tongue education revolves around technicalities and approaches, as well as whether a published collection, commonly known as a “method”, is new or old. However, in reality, it is the socio-historical context and the dominant ideology prevailing the language education and educational contents that determine the teaching methods, language learner’s identity, selected content of courses, organization of the contents to be presented in the class, reasons for preparing such contents, explicit or implicit goals of teaching non-mother tongues, in all their realized forms. The goals of French-speaking nobility in 16th century England in preparing Latin material for teaching French were not the same as those in the courses prepared for job-seeking immigrants in 21st century French-speaking Quebec province of Canada. This paper briefly presents the theoretical materials and then we review the current situation based on the available data for external and dominating contexts on the teaching of non-mother tongues and then we conclude with posing fundamental questions in this area.

In addition, he has provided numerous translations from French to Farsi, particularly about the translation French works. Among his translations, two books are dedicated to the translation of French poetry. Initially, the translation of forty four pieces of Paul Eluard’s poems entitled Oh Freedom by Mohammad Taghi Qiasi was published in 1978. Later, French Poetry in Twentieth Century was published by Nahid Publications. However, the reasons for the inclusion of some nineteenth century poems have been explained in the introduction of the book. In fact, the French poetry has been only sparsely translated into Persian language, and therefore, it has got a different course in comparison to French prose works. In this way, those who adore poetry have not got the opportunity to get familiar with the rich and influential French poetry. In the present paper, we review the book of French Poetry in the Twentieth Century. We aimed to analyze the reasons for the selection of poems, the method for the introduction of poets, and the classification of the history of French poetry to different periods, as well as the translation methods. In this review work, we aimed to demonstrate to which extent this book may aid those who adore literature, to get familiar with the French poetry

Giving up traditional thoughts on the one hand, and the advent of modernist tendencies in Qajar society on the other hand, was the result of a kind of critical self-consciousness which happened after various and numerous social-political crises. Ever-increasing translations of political, social and economical texts in Qajar era resulted in the development of social awareness. In the present article, in addition to classifying critical discourses in that era and presenting facts, it’s been indicated that most designers of such discourses were involved in translating texts, and with these translations they made it obvious for the people that the existing political system was ineffective, and also encouraged the wish for a change in situation. In this research, the factors which encouraged writers and translators in Qajar era to translate history books and its effects on attracting and bringing together researchers and the readers in this field has been studied. The results showed that the wars between Iran and Russia initiated the first translations of history texts. Establishment of Dar- al- Fonoun (house of science), Dar-al-Tarjama (Translation House), orientology tendency, and archeology discoveries in Iran helped the translation of history texts and focusing on this kind of translation to reach to its highest point so far. Furthermore, translation of history books resulted in changing the method of historiography, taking into consideration the history of ancient Iran, and introducing revolutionary thoughts to Iranians.

There is a good number of Persian books under titles such as “Persian proverbs”, “Persian proverbs and gems of wisdom”, “Persian idioms”, “A dictionary of colloquial words”, “A dictionary of Persian proverbs”, “The language of the street”, etc. A main problem with these books is that they do not clearly distinguish between various types of phrases they describe. This, it seems, is due to the fact that the science of phraseology as an independent branch of linguistics is hardly known to Iranian linguists. As a result, colloquial phrases are mainly discussed or categorized from the points of view of stylistics, folklore, literature, etc, each of which concentrates on one aspect of each phrase. In this research article, the purpose is to, while criticizing the book “A dictionary of Russian-Persian proverbs and idioms”, (2005, 309 pages, Tehran University Press, written by Safar Ali Farsadmanesh; Людмила Ежова;), discusses the problems that arise due to lexicographers’ familiarity with phraseology as an independent discipline. This research has been conducted using a library method. The writer has suggested the Persian equivalent elm-e ebarat shenasi for phraseology

In the 1960s, the book was a reaction to the predominating Hegelianism of France's Alexandre Kojève and Jean Hyppolite, and Deleuze attempts to put Nietzsche against Hegel to show that Hegel's philosophy is a philosophy of difference, plurality, and vitality and vitality of life. This book is just like an introduction to all themes of Deleuze's next books. Three thinkers have a central role in Deleuze's thought: Spinoza, Bergson and Nietzsche. If Spinoza is a father, Bergson will be the son and Nietzsche will be the Holy Spirit. But this article, while analyzing Deleuze's philosophy in this book, seeks to demonstrate that Deleuze narrates another form of Hegelian dialectics in Nietzsche's style, and thus Deleuze's does not escape from the Hegelian dialectical thinking.

Mannheim’s purpose in writing Ideology and Utopia: An Introduction to the Sociology of Knowledge was indeed to project the basic principles of sociology of knowledge. The fundamental question for him was about the problem of “how men think”. In his book, he argues the way of thinking by people, especially the intellectuals, in a socio-historical context within which the thoughts take place. So, his book has been the product of the critical historical duration, especially in the agitating time of Hungary and Germany during the years between the two world Wars and the time of Fascism power in Europe. He attempts to find the way of thinking and cognition, but he cannot emancipate from the conditions of thinking crisis in that time. However, he migrates from his home to Germany, and then to Britain under such unfavorable circumstances. Some readers emphasize that this Mannheim’s book is a philosophical work, while he believes that he has attempted to introduce the principles of thinking and knowledge and with his attention to the relation between thought and the socio-historical conditions (as relationism in Mannheim word), he feels that he is keeping distance from philosophy.

Therefore, their contents should be readily compiled by the necessary structural and contextual components. This article, by reviewing these components in one of the works of Al-Ashmawi, a leading Egyptian professor in the field of literary critique, intends to carefully consider the form and content of the book a'a'lam ala'db ala'rbi alhdith watjahathm alfniah. In this regard, through descriptive-analytical method, it clarifies the effectiveness of this work as an educational book for Arabic literature students and researchers. Despite the achievements of this work on the basis of the special critical approach of Al-Ashmawi regarding the importance of personal experience and the chimerical analysis in literary criticism, as well as the discussion including four important areas of literature, this book has some deficiencies in the case of its structural and contextual components, the most important of which include the limited number of references, lack of referencing and lack of formal comprehensiveness, especially lack of having a list of references at the end of book; hence, it cannot be considered as a comprehensive reference among the main reference of Arabic language and literature curriculum.
