Textbooks are the most important part of a syllabus to which the main part of teaching are allocated. Besides, it is the basis of teaching and learning process. A well-structured textbook plays an incomparable role in the learning process of students, and it is a great aid in reaching educational goals. However, a book with deficiencies hinders teaching and the learning process. The suitability of source books and their selection criteria are the topics best investigated by the related sciences, especially psychology, educational science, and educational technology. In this regard, we aim to evaluate the structural, formal, and lingual criteria in “Basic Principles of Theoretical Myssticism” by Saeed Rahimian. On the basis of these standards, the major shortcomings of this book are enumerated. It is hoped that these suggestions lead to technical correction and removal of conspicuous shortcomings so a book with even the minimum respect to those criteria is available to enthusiasts to Islamic sciences especially interesting mystics teaching

The purpose of this study was to review the book entitled "The Identity of Religious Science: An Epistemological View in Relation to Religion and Human Sciences" (Bagheri, 2003). In terms of form, the book had the most sought criteria and was therefore desirable. The author, in content, has shown an attempt to achieve a religious model in proving science and paying attention to the experience. However, the book also has some shortcomings, including: 1) neglecting the interactive effect of the senses, wisdom and heart, 2) reduction of reality to evident reality, 3) lack of logical link between ontology, epistemology and methodology, and 4) reducing the sources of knowledge and limiting the criterion of certainty to empirical matters. Given that a) the senses, wisdom, and the intuitive perceptions form knowledge in permanent interaction, b) all human experiences are related to the rational insight and the intuitive belief of the individual that is determined; therefore, it is desirable that Muslim scholars, based on the interaction and coordination between the senses and the mind and the heart, explain the way in which the human perceptual system is manifested, providing criteria for distinguishing correct perception of incorrect perception.

In modern history, Islamic societies are under the subjugation of European nations. This causes their political, cultural, and economic dependency. Islamic Revolution's emancipation prescription to Islamic nations is the renovation of their social science based on Islamic principles in order to be able to manage their countries according to independent political, cultural, and economic knowledge. There are different streams of thought in Iran developed according to this policy. The reviewed book is written on the basis of one of them. As a text book, it is well designed, however, regardless of the writer's effort to get along with Islamic principles and values, the book has several weaknesses and confusions. The main issue is lack of enough attention to the difference between ontology and epistemology which underpinned the secular and Islamic methodology. The book's suggestion is to mix these methods regardless of their fundamental differences. The other problem is its suggestion to extract uncertain original bases of social sciences off the Islamic texts and try to reach certainty by experimental current methods. This means to dominate experimental secular results over Islamic texts. The suggested method causes to cover those current secular understanding of social science whose positions are not clear to Islamic values, with an Islamic layer.

The book entitled Against Method 1 was influenced by Blaikie and Newman's thoughts. The focus of the book is on the basis of ontology, epistemology, and the value of research paradigms (five paradigms of positivism, interpretivism, critical paradigm, feminism, and pragmatism). This book has an easy writing which suggests that the author of the book has a complete acquaintance with the fundamentals of qualitative research. Nevertheless, the book deals with issues such as the ambiguity of its title, the categorization of the critical and historical-comparative paradigms in general paradigm of qualitative research, the use of many construed concepts and constituents translated and not being translated into it, the inappropriateness of the data collection with the title of the book, and most importantly the lack of relevance to the research strategy. Nevertheless, the book has a main role and place in Iran's qualitative research. However, in the current situation, attention to the logic of research, emphasizing the distinction between different types of qualitative research methodology, the achievement of practical examples of valid qualitative research, and ultimately the efforts to publish scientific findings globally, are of the present necessity in qualitative research in Iran.

In this paper, we intend to introduce, criticize, and analyze the book “After Method”; written by John Law and translated by Mojtaba Azizi. The book is published in 2004 by Routledge. “After Method” is asking a massive evolution in methodology. Also, it criticizes the main stream of ontology and epistemology. First, the theoretical context of the book, its main ideas, the writer, and the translator are introduced. In the following, the book is criticized for both form and substantive content. Formally, some writing tips, typographic, and editorial notes are observed. In the content section, firstly the translation of the specialized terminology is discussed. Then, some sentences are chosen, the translation of which makes understanding the text difficult. Comparisons between the original text and the translated text are made. The problems are shown and suggestions are also provided. The translation of such novels, on the one hand, expands and enriches the literature in Persian, and on the other hand, it is always confronted with difficulties. The ambiguity of translating some of the specialized terminology and the inability to translate the concepts into the reader is the main problem of the translation.

Seyyed Hossein Nasr is one of the most influential contemporary traditionalists, who has provided the major criticism of ideas about modernity. Modern science is one of the most important achievements of modernity that has been criticized through Nasr thought. Nasr approach to modern science does not stop merely at the level of criticism, but he tries to introduce an alternative to modern science which is named the traditional knowledge that he believes there is an unbreakable link with sacred and religious beliefs. Nasr tries to explain the concept of traditional knowledge through distinction between traditional knowledge with modern science as it is formulated. This paper examines Nasr approach to criticize and review the book "The Need for Sacred Science" which shows that the concept of traditional knowledge has no historical authenticity. Merely nostalgic reaction to the development of modern science and demythologization consequences of the status quo and modern Brjvam relations have been in the face of the crisis. Survey shows that the philosophical foundations of the traditional knowledge provided by Nasr are inconsistent with the nature of historical sciences. But from a negative approach, it is against the ontological, epistemological, and methodological principles of the science.

The book entitled “Theoretical and Practical Principles of Research in the Humanities and Social Sciences” written by Ali Delavar has been used for the research method course in the Humanities and Social Sciences majors for many years and has been reprinted many times. The present research has criticized this work through a documentary analysis method and relying on the theory of "division" in Aristotelian logic presents the drawbacks of "logical presentation of content" in this book in chaptering and presenting subheadings and developing contents under the titles, each of which may disrupt the process of teacher –like author-audience relationship. This critical analysis has developed a model of the content classification method and its logical structure based on "division logic" which is noteworthy as a theory in developing the logical structure of the texts. In addition to structural review, the present research focuses on the formal and content review of the book, and has provided numerous considerations in the formal and content review of this work.
