Today about the manner of applying the inheritance of old eloquence in academic circles, there is a difference of opinion among researchers. Some of them believe in laying aside this rhetorical inheritance and following the new western eloquence. The other group believes old eloquence should become the basis and new findings of linguistics and stylistics should be ultilized and a communication between both of them should be established. The book "Al Benyat Al Motehavelat fi Albelaghat Al Arabia"written by Osameh Al Bohayri tries to use the second view to make a bridge between old eloquence and new findings of western lingual and rhetorical. This article extracts author 's perspective by descriptive analytical method and then criticizesit Research findings show that change in Sakaki's classification, attention to exiting the necessity of appearance in rhetoric, attention to inner structure of text, proceeding with the role of the reader in deviation from norms and the prominence of norm-avoidance in contemporary literary discourse are the most important features of the book. Numerous typing mistakes, choosing unsuitable fonts, not having a list of standards and poetries, are the most important defects of the book. In the introduction of book, the writer emphasizes that in his rhetorical analysis, he has adopted the text itself as a basis, but in the book there is no sign of adopting the text as a basis as a unit of rhetorical analysis.

The research in Saadi's Arabic poetry is not at par with the Persian poems of this famous Iranian poet, either in terms of quality or quantity, this is more obvious in the correction and description of the text of these poems. The book of review of “Saadi's Arabic Poems Based on Applied Criticism” was published for the first time in 2015 by Shahid Madani University of Azerbaijan publisher. Amir Muqaddam Mottaghi, the author of the book, has tried, in his research, to evaluate Saadi's Arabic poems based on a research theory called applied criticism. He introduces this criticism as one of the types of practical criticism based on the effect on the reader. His book was published in 2017. The author has collected the contents of the book in three chapters. First, the theoretical framework of the discussion, then Saadi's life and works, and at the end, the review of Saadi's Arabic poems has been compiled on the basis of practical criticism. In this article, an effort is made to describe, analyze and criticize the mentioned book in the four axes of research structure, Saadiology, documentation of information and in-text references, errors, and content deficiencies. The insufficient and disorganized research method, the author's incorrect research theory, and the author's disregard for the principle of reference in the research have distracted the author from compiling a scientific and academic book that will resemble Saadi's Arabic poetry for the audience.

Criticism and study of literary works, especially those that deal with specific types of literary types and have gained a lot of acceptability among linguists, is of great value. In the meantime, reviewing and criticizing valuable works such as "Mjm'a Al'amthal" Book by Abolfazl Meydani, which was written in the early periods of compiling Arabic literature, to prevent the change, distortion, and destruction of the valuable heritage of proverbs, to collect, describe and explaining such language becomes double. In this regard, the present study intends to provide a more profound and scientific knowledge of this valuable work in structural critique and the descriptive-analytical method. Existence of a coherent plan in arranging this work and paying attention to the expertise and scientific and linguistic ability of the author in framing the internal structure, selection, description, and explanation of proverbs using Quranic evidence, poems, narrations, stories, lexical dictionaries, show the strength of the scientific and citation aspect of the book and a unique style and awareness in arranging the book following the diversity of tastes of the audience and it has justified ignorance of some shortcomings of this work. It has made it a unique work among its peers using its linguistic and cultural backgrounds in strengthening the linguistic, historical, and cultural heritage of the Arab people.

Feminism is a school of thought that has been found to restore the oppressed rights of women and establish equity with and sometimes supremacy over men. After its pervasion in Western countries, the phenomenon slipped through such Muslim nations as Saudi Arabia. In her novel "Ontha al-Aankaboot" (Female Spider), Qumasha al-Ayan, a Saudi Arabian author, addresses women's problems and the challenges facing feministic movements in her country. Using a descriptive-analytic method, this study aims to firstly investigate the differences between the social structures of western and Islamic countries regarding feminist approaches and secondly to demonstrate the obstacles against the advancement of the feminist movement in Saudi Arabia to discuss social problems women face in that society with emphasis on the afore-mentioned novel. As the study results show, the Industrial Revolution and the subsequent need for women's workforce induced feministic feelings in Western countries. In contrast, such feelings have not found the opportunity to develop in Islamic nations, specifically in Saudi Arabia, since there is not only a fundamental conflict between Islam and feminism but also the normalization of patriarchy in these countries. Moreover, the male-oriented interpretation of laws in some Arab Muslim countries has limited women in different areas.

Today, the study of narrative works’ form and structure has become one of the main concerns of contemporary narrators and storytellers. Accordingly, a significant number of books and papers have been literary created. Abdul Rahim al-Kurdi is one of the leading Egyptian contemporary writers who has made great efforts to explain theories of story analysis from the perspective of Russian formalists, French structuralists, and modern Western stylists in his book entitled “Contemporary Narration”. In this book, he has unique insight and mastery interpreted the views of contemporary Western critics. He has placed them as the infrastructure for the scientific analysis of the novel of “Alrjl Althi Fkd Thlh Nmouthja “. The present study attempts to analyze the “Alsrd fi Alrwaiah Alma’asrah” book in a descriptive-analytic way. Results revealed that although some of the presented issues in the book reflect prolixity, the author has tried to provide a formalistic analysis of narrative discourse.

Abstract and introduction are the most important parts of the articles among structural components. So, this study aims to consider abstracts and introductions from 71 articles in "Arabic Literature" journal from 1388-1389 by planned questionnaire on the base of structural evaluation of lectures. The procedure is the analysis of the synthetic content. Research findings show that in aim, statement of the problem, and keywords correspond with structural standards of scientific-studious articles, and from 1388 to 1398, they have structural weakness in history, procedure and question. Although, lectures from 1392 and after that have increased in these three indexes remarkably, but in frequency and the other components, they have not increased considerably. Since there are defects until 1398 in these indexes because of structural dispersion and lack of a specific pattern. Therefore, it's not possible to mention in which year articles have considered these components. This research after evaluating these two components has offered a conceptual pattern of abstract structure and introduction of scientific-studious lectures in Arabic language and literature.

A survey of students’ attitudes towards learning this language would be an effective step in policymaking and the compilation of textbooks in this regard. This study used the descriptive-survey method to analyze attitudes toward learning the Arabic language among twelfth-grade students of Kerman in the fields of literature and humanities, experimental sciences, and mathematical sciences. Moreover, this study investigated the attitude differences among the students in three fields of humanities, experimental and mathematical sciences, as well as attitude differences toward learning the Arabic language between the twelfth-grade girl and boy students of Kerman. The sample consisted of 337 girl and boy students studying in twelfth grade in Kerman. The results showed that the attitudes of most of the students in three fields of humanities, experimental sciences, and mathematical sciences towards three variables of interest in learning Arabic, the importance of Arabic course among other courses, and the content of Arabic course were negative; nevertheless, mathematics students showed more interest in learning Arabic in comparison to other students. Girl and boy students’ attitudes did not show any significant differences.

Thought reviews and critiques of thought go back to ancient Greece and Aristotle's Poetry. Criticism aims to refine the public taste and educate the author's thought; in the meantime, critique of the books can also improve the quality of content and beauty. This study investigates the book Analysis of the Immaculate Conception of the Qur'an in the Teachings of the Qur'an and Sunnah based on the analytical-descriptive method. The weaknesses include lack of compelling title, typographical errors in the form of inaccuracies in the citation, ambiguity, repetition, generalization, lack of reference to the necessity of research, and lack of footing. The reason for this is that some content is basic and there is no innovation in the content category. At the same time, it has the following strengths: beautiful calligraphy with good handwriting, annotations, and many footnotes that sometimes show up in vague descriptions of words and expressions, and beautiful layouts. Besides, the design on the cover could be much more beautiful than it is, for example, a picture of the miracle of the creation of the heavens or a picture of the staff of Moses, which turns into a dragon. Regarding the content, it also has strong points such as: coherence and logical order of the contents and its sequence and specialized view on the subject of miracles.

The book The Science of Literary Society written by Anwar Abdul Hamid Al-Musa is one of the recent works in which the author comprehensively deals with the emergence and growth of literary sociology from the beginning to the present day. As well as a chapter on Arabic works in this area, their critique is also given. In order to introduce this book, we decided to examine this work based on a descriptive analytical method from both formal and content aspects to finally reveal the advantages and disadvantages and the success rate of the author in writing this work. Based on the results, we can consider the psychological and eloquent style, observance of writing rules, fit of the content with the title and logical sequence between the contents, strength and accuracy and neutrality in the analyses and critiques, among the advantages of this book. Type and size of fonts, lack of novelty in the title and its generality, failure to achieve the purpose of research, mere collection of materials, inappropriate and unscientific citation method, repetition and content, non-problematic work, bias in quoting content and conclusion, and being inadequate, are considered among the most important flaws and shortcomings of this work.

More than being a “tool” for translating knowledge and awareness from one language to another, translation is a “process” for reflecting cultural and social concepts. To improve the quality of such reflection, new perspectives on translation, linguistics, and discourse can be used. One of the new perspectives on translation is the proposal of the Spanish Carmen Garcés (1994), which has four levels: “semantic-lexical”, “syntactic-word-constructive”, “discourse-functional” and “stylistic-practical”. With the help of these four levels, it is possible to investigate the increase, maintenance, and decrease the original text information in the translated text. By counting the positive and negative features of translation, the adequacy and acceptability of translation are also evaluated in this theory. In the following article, based on this theory, we critique the translation of Habibullah Abbasi from the book Sufism and Surrealism written by Adonis. Although the translator has increased the volume of the translated text by adopting the method of “synonymy” and bringing more or fewer captions, according to the criteria set by Garcés, his translation has the feature of preserving the information of the source text. In spite of the criticisms that can be leveled at the translator's method of translating terms and the type of word-for-word translation, in general, his translation has a degree of adequacy and acceptability as stated in Garcés’ theory.

Besides, to achieve this goal, many books and textbooks have been written in Iran and in the Arab world. Undoubtedly, criticizing and reviewing these books is a major step in fulfilling the objectives of teaching contemporary literary texts. Therefore, the present study intends to evaluate the book Al-Adab Al-Arabi Al-Hadith; … authored by Muhammad Saleh Alshanti, using a descriptive-analytical approach. While introducing the book, the article tried to address both its strong points and weaknesses in two domains of form and content. The findings indicate that with regard to form, the book suffers from certain shortcomings such as lack of defining terms, using personal judgments in analyses, compiling rather than composing, mixing didactic and critical issues, and incoherence of literary approaches.

Reader-response criticism is a new method of critique which tries to investigate the reader and the literary texts through a new attitude. The birth of this theory was the result of the intersection of the author-centered approach and the text-centered approach. The contemporaneity of the subject indicates the necessity of examining the subject and Hassan Mustafa Sahloul tries to answer this necessity in Nazaruyat Alqira'at Walta'awyl Al'adabii Waqadaya book. The criticism of nazaruyat Alqira'at Walta'awyl Al'adabii Waqadaya with a descriptive-analytical method shows that Hassan Mustafa Sahloul scrutinized the reader-response criticism approach. This book is written in an introduction and six chapters with in a small number of pages. The contents of the book are simplified in a way that is easily understood by the audience but a large number of chapters and titles has caused the dispersion and incoherence of the most important issues in this theory and in practice, the reader of the book cannot have a coherent classification of this theory and its related branches. There is no precise reference in the text of the book and this makes the reader of the book not know which sources to refer to for the rest of the study in this field. Also, the author has not examined the origin of this theory and its thinkers, and the ideas of some thinkers in the field of reading criticism have also been neglected.

The "Arabic language teaching" curriculum in 2016 was revised by Farhangian University and replaced the "Arabic language and literature secretary" curriculum. Considering the effect that the curriculum has on improving the level of knowledge, skills and attitudes of students, it is necessary to be scrutinized. Therefore, the present study seeks to address the pathology of the curriculum in this field. The research information was obtained through documentary studies and by using quantitative and descriptive methods and using the researcher-made questionnaire in a statistical population consisting of professors of Farhangian University of Tehran, in a purposeful and comprehensive manner. The results show that the most important quantitative changes have been the reduction of the share of specialized units from 93 units to 54 units and the increase of the share of educational courses. A significant reduction in the units of texts and history from 46 units to 8 units, and the reduction of language skills units from 36 units to 20 units are among the new weaknesses of the new program. Increasing the internship units from 4 units in two semesters to 8 units in four semesters and defining thematic-educational courses and teacher work experience are among the strengths of this program.

This study examines the translation of Mohammad Baher from the book Literary Criticism of Principles and Methods by Seyyed Qutb, from the perspective of information transfer. The question is, what are the most important challenges of information transfer in translating the book? and in what areas is the translator's performance in terms of information transfer and why is it damaged? The study method is descriptive-analytical, and the Arabic book has been adapted to the Persian translation then the cases in which the translation has been damaged in the transmission of information have been extracted. The order of these injuries is then identified and the injuries are categorized. Under each category, injuries and their occurrence and causes are analyzed. The theory behind the study is Katrina Rice's "text typology" theory. This analysis shows that the translation is damaged in terms of information transfer in five areas: term, word, word combination, sentence, and inter-sentence relations. Finally, it will be concluded that the main challenge of translating the book is the fluctuation of language between the role of information and expression, and the other is the testimony of the various texts quoted in the book.

Since most universities focus on research and research programs, they try to increase the student's awareness and knowledge of research methods in specialized fields. The book Concise of the Approach to Scientific Research on Education and Anthropology written by Dr Saif al-Islam has tried to explain the method of scientific research and the principles of dissertation writing to students. In the present study, this book has been reviewed and criticized with a descriptive-analytical method and has enumerated some of its advantages and shortcomings. Based on the findings of the current study, the author's ability to explain the content, coherence and order of topics, emphasizing the need to use a computer in scientific research, and observing writing marks are among the most important strengths of the book. However, lack of attention to in-text citations, lack of use of sources, and lack of comprehensiveness of some content and lack of explanation of the difference between methodology and research methods are the shortcomings of the book.

Teaching Arabic has recently attracted a lot of attention inside and outside of the country leading to the publication of a pile of Arabic teaching textbooks including Arabic Language Teaching Methods: A Critical Approach (Compiled by a group of authors), which attempts to review and analyze the most recent Arabic teaching approaches. The present study enjoyed an analytical-critical approach to examine the formal, structural, and content-related aspects of the textbook. The results of the study indicated that the textbook, with all its merits, suffered from some shortcomings in mechanics of writing, editing and even content-related items. The major weakness of the textbook was having no integrated approach in developing the chapters of the book. It may have happened because a group of authors has developed the textbook. Such an inconsistency can easily be observed in the lack of formal and content integrity in some parts of the textbook. Instances of such an imbalance can be located in taking an unclear approach to clarify some topics, repetition of some texts with similar wordings, and lack of cohesion in some texts when analyzing the topics.

Translation criticism, based on the patterns of cognitive translations, is a criterion to describe the translation function in the target language by preserving literature and understanding the meaning of the source language. The validity of the translation of the novel will also be measured and represented with meticulous awareness of the shortcomings and its positive features according to the principles of translation evaluation models. Antone Breman, whose basis of his translational viewpoint is based on the source text, explains the twelve deforming tendencies between the source, target language named “deconstructive method” or “distortion factors”. According to this theory, when the number of changing trends in the translation process is more significant, the translator has distorted the original text more. In this study, we want to consider the perspective of Bremen’s deconstructive tendencies with respect to the alien text and foreign, Arabic translation called “Aynaha” by Ahmad Musa of “Her Eyes” written by Bozorg Alavi. The main focus of this research is to review the dominant trends in text change by translator mentioning to citing the evidence and proposed translation. Findings of the study confirm six trends of twelve Bremen deconstructive tendencies, and it claims that the translator, according to his own taste, has made changes in translation, and he was not loyal to the source text.

The art of play is the result of human social life, more than any other type of art in relation to social man, and accordingly, its connection with the new civilization can be emphasized more than other components. In the new era, the play is one of the most important topics for critical discussions, whether as a text or as a collection of narratives performed by actors on stage to the extent that the critical and historical books of this type of art have a wide range of the oldest types of art. One of the most recent works of this kind is Nashat 'al-Masrah fi al-Mashreq, (The Emergence of Theater in the East), whose author has studied the origin and evolution of this art in the Orient, focusing on Lebanon and Syria, Turkey and Iran. The article intends to provide a critical reading of it by adopting a descriptive method, and the results show that although the value of the book in question is small, the author has been able to use accurate methods in reviewing the evolution of the work as a historical-analytical book by using reliable documents and sources.

The book Ma’āni al-Abniah fi al-Arabiah (‘Meanings of Structures in Arabic’) is a valuable work by Fādil Sālih Sāmarrā’i, where he explains the meanings of structures and different conjugates proceeding with his innovative project involving a semantic approach to morphology and syntax. He argues that any change in a structure or conjugate leads to a change in its meaning, and consideration of the diversity of these meanings increases the importance of Arabic and the rhetoric contained in the Holy Quran. In this book, Sāmarrā’i has adopted a semantic approach to investigate the issues concerning nouns and verbs, infinitives, adverbs of time and place, present participles, past participles, constant adjectives, instruments, different types of plural, and relative nouns. With a descriptive content-analytical method, this research attempts first to address the role of Fādil Sālih Sāmarrā’i in the innovation of morphology and his emphasis on the relationship between morphological structures and their meanings and then to scientifically analyze his success in that regard and the most significant advantages and imperfections of Ma’āni al-Abniah fi al-Arabiah with a critical review of the book.

Semiotics is one of the branches of modern literary criticism in the twentieth century that examines the signs and the relationships between them in literary texts and their function in conveying the message between the author and the reader. The book Aliat al - Tawil al - Sima'iyya by Musa Rabbabiyah is one of the works that tries to achieve the following subtle and profound layers of textual construction by passing through some semiotic tools and passing through the superstructure of the text. In the light of the importance of the issue, the present article tries to explain the weaknesses and shortcomings of the desired work in a descriptive - analytical way and with a content critique approach, while examining and stating some of the strengths of this book. The results of the study indicate that this work has been very successful in the first three chapters in the field of metaphor and cryptography as two tools of semiotics and has provided good analyzes by selecting appropriate poetic examples. But, the book’s inconsistency with the content and not directly addressing all semiotic tricks, including paradox, mask, arithmetic, norm-breaking, myth, lack of balance between chapters, and a brief reference to the critique of semiotics in the novel one of the most important shortcomings of this book.
