چکیده

اسپریگنز در کتاب «فهم نظریه‌های سیاسی» بین علم سیاست و نظریه سیاسی تفکیک قایل می‌شود بحران‌ها و مشکلات در قلمرو سیاست آمریکایی صاحبنظران شبیه به او را به این امر سوق می‌دهد که عمل‌زدگی افراطی در سیاست امریکایی باعث‌شده تا سیاست از غایت اصلی خود که مدیریت امر و خیر عمومی است، دور افتد. این مساله، انگیزه‌ای برای نوشتن این مقاله شد. تا نشان دهیم که در کنار سهم بالای علم سیاست در تحلیل و شناخت سیاست عملی، سهم نظریه سیاسی نیز دیده و این مدعا تبیین شودکه نظریه سیاسی برای اسپریگنز اگرچه جایگزین علم سیاست نمی‌شود؛ به‌صورت زیربنایی مسئولیت‌های سیاست را در نسبت با غایات و آرمان‌های کلاسیک‌های اندیشه سیاسی غرب دوباره طراحی می‌کند .
روش این مقاله تبیینی و براساس الگوی نویسنده کتاب یعنی تمرکز بر منطق درونی در نظریه سیاسی و نیز تبیین مفهوم «نسبت» به‌عنوان مقوله واجد دو طرف مستقل و متضمن شاخص‌های درونی امر رابطه است .
نتیجه این که خصلت عمل‌زدگی سیاست گاه غایت اصلی آن را که پی‌گیری خیر عمومی است، از دسترس سیاست عملی خارج می‌کند. نظریه سیاسی می‌تواند با داشتن سویه‌های تشخیصی، انتقادی و کارکرد انضمامی سیاست را به فراموشی امر عمومی زینهار بدهد و متفکران را به چاره‌جویی پیوسته فرا بخواند.

چکیده [English]

In his book “Understanding Political Theories”, Spragens distinguishes between political science and political theory. The crises and problems in the domain of American politics lead the similar scholars to think that the extreme activism in American politics has deviated politics from its ultimate end which is management and public good. This issue became a motivation to write this article to show that alongside the high contribution of political science to the analysis and understanding of practical politics, the contribution of political theory should also be seen and it should be explained that although political theory is not a substitute for political science for Spragens, it fundamentally redesigns policy responsibilities in relation to goals and ideals of classics of Western politic thoughts. This article has an explanatory method and is based on the author's pattern i.e. focusing on the internal logic in political theory as well as explaining the concept of 'relation' as a category having both independent sides and guarantying the internal indicators of the relationship. The result is that the policy activism sometimes removes the main goal which is pursuing the public good from practical policy. Political theory can, with its diagnostic, critical, and concrete functions warns policy about forgetting the public affairs and invite scholars to a continuous solution.
