چکیده

کتاب اقتصاد حکم می‌راند، اثر دنی رودریک، اثری در فلسفه و روش‌شناسی اقتصاد است که به بایدها و نبایدهای ‌مدل‌سازی در اقتصاد می‌پردازد؛ زیرا در نظر وی مدل‌ها هستند که اقتصاد را به علم تبدیل می‌کنند. گزارۀ اصلی رودریک در این کتاب این است که محیط‌‌های اجتماعی متفاوت مستلزم مدل‌های متفاوت است و اشتباه اقتصاددانان این است که یک مدل را با مدلی که در همۀ شرایط مناسب و قابل‌کاربرد است اشتباه می‌گیرند و در مرتبط‌ساختن مدل‌ها با دنیای واقعی ناتوان هستند. روش مقاله در بررسی کتاب روش اسنادی و تحلیلی است و هدفْ ارزیابی محتوای اثر از دیدگاه روش‌شناسی اقتصاد است. نتیجۀ بررسی آن است که زیرنویس فصول ترجمه نشده است و برخی معادل‌سازی‌ها به بازنگری نیاز دارد. برخی نقدهای محتوایی کتاب، ایهام در عنوان، تقلیل‌گرایی مدل‌ها، تنوع مدل‌های مکاتب اقتصادی، بخش‌های غیرمدلی اقتصاد، علمی‌بودن به‌دلیل روش، ابهام در فروض مهم مدل، پیش‌رفت افقی یا عمودی علم اقتصاد، مشکل علم اقتصاد یا اقتصاددانان، و کاربرد روش رودریک در مدل تعادل عمومی تصادفی پویا در اقتصاد کلان است.

چکیده [English]

Danny Rodrik’s “Economics Rules” is a book on the methodology of economics that addresses the do’s and don’ts of modeling in economics because, in his view, models make economics a science. Rodrik’s main point in this book is that different social environments require different models, and economists mistake a model with the model. The method of analysis in this review article is analytical, and the aim is to evaluate the content of the book from the perspective of economic methodology. Some challenging issues in the book include ambiguity and amphibology in the title of the book, model reductionism, diversity of models of economic schools, non-model fields of economics, being scientific by method, ambiguity in the concept of critical assumptions, horizontal or vertical progress of economics in macroeconomics, the problem of economics or economists, and the application of Rodrick’s method in the DSGE model in macroeconomics.
