چکیده
در مقالۀ حاضر قصد بر آن است که کتاب «آمار در علم سنجی و علم اطلاعات و دانش‌شناسی» تألیف پرویز نصیری و امیرحاجسلمانی که در سال 1396 توسط انتشارات سمت منتشر شده است به نقد گذاشته شود. تفاوت این کتاب با کتابهای دیگر آمار توجه به تحلیل نرم افزاری داده ها، تلاش برای گره زدن احتمالات به آمار از طریق بحث توزیع های آماری و برآورد، اثبات برخی فرمولهای آماری، و اختصاص فصلی مجزا به نام «تجزیه و تحلیل های آماری است. با این حال، کتاب حاضر بر خلاف ادعای آن در برخی موارد شامل «بیان سادۀ مفاهیم آماری و کاربرد عملی آنها» نیست و خوانندۀ مستقل در مقاطع کارشناسی ارشد و دکترا قادر به درک برخی مفاهیم، بهخصوص در بخش توزیع های آماری، برآوردها و الگوی عاملی نیست و تنها مدرسان این درس می توانند آن را برای دانشجویان قابل فهم سازند. بهعلاوه فاقد جامعیت است و جای آزمون های ناپارامتریک، و برخی تحلیلهای پیشرفتۀ آماری مثل آنکووا، مانکووا، تحلیل مسیر و غیره خالی است و در عین حال آموزش نرمافزاری آن طور که بایسته است آموزانده نشده است. با این حال، می توان کتاب حاضر را کتابی با طرح مقدماتی خوب برای بهبود در آینده دانست و آن را به یک کتاب همه پذیر ارتقاء داد.

In this article, I aimed at giving a critical position about a book, namely "statistical analysis in Scientometrics and Knowledge and Information Science"that published by SAMT Organization. The book is different from the same kinds of books on the basis of data analysis with statistical software, trying to pool probability and statistics together, maneuvering on some statistical proofing, and giving a special section on "statistical analysis". But this book have been unsuccessful in achieving its beginning claims about uncomplicated explanation and practical utilization. and a typical reader of the book in humanities and behavioral science can't understand some of its basic statistical discussions and it is usable only for statistical instructors and they may able to re-explain its proofs about distributions,, propositions, estimations and so on. it should be said that it is not a comprehensive book in statistics because non-parametric tests and some advanced tests such as ANCOVA, MANCOVA, and path analysis have neglected. its software instruction section is either a flawed section because of its excessive brief. but the books basic plan is defensible and its authors can develop it by increasing the statistical tests and decreasing in peripheral argumentation.
