This paper aims to systemically review the book “The Study of Political Movements in Iran”. The main part of the paper reviews the form, methodology, and content of the book, focusing mainly on method and content review. A number of constructive proposals and suggestions have been made in the text aiming at improving the method and content dimensions of the book. These points include the necessity to critically investigate the subject literature, the importance of historical investigation of the notion of “movements studies” in Iran’s political literature, the introduction of scientific research and major works used for writing studies of political movements, and in general, the appropriate attention and systematic adherence to methodology standards in human sciences research, which unfortunately have not been attended properly in this text.

Explaining the concept of resilient economy and putting it forward as current discourse requires a thorough literature review. The purpose of this paper is to review and critique the book “Analysis of Macroeconomic Indicators in Iran with Economic Resistance Approach” written by Ahmad Tashkini and Amir-Reza Souri. Review of this book in terms of form features showed that it lacks some of the necessary components such as preface, author’s introduction, list of tables and figures, and overall conclusion. 25 percent of tables are also set as graphs unnecessarily. In some cases, there are some misspellings, grammatical errors, and weaknesses in academic writing. Overall, the quality of typography and layout is moderate and that of printing and binding is good. Book content review revealed that economy’s performance has been analyzed once during 1959-2012 in five irregular periods, and once again during 1981-2012 in eight four-years periods without any specific explanation. The analysis is often limited to descriptive analysis of trends lacking causal analysis and scientific citation. The main challenges of the economy in recent decades has been reduced to dependence on crude oil, imposed war, low productivity, low market financial depth and international sanctions. To address these challenges some solutions have been suggested such as recreating the role of government, empowerment, liberation, development of a competitive environment, improvement of business environment, reducing dependence on oil, attracting foreign investment and development of financial markets. These guidelines are very general and have already been mentioned repeatedly, and their relationship with resilient economy is not well explained. In the analysis of the contents, the related literature has not been reviewed and no room has been allocated to review other’s views. Using relatively much more data, this book is superior to its counterparts with rhetorical and non-statistical structure, but in terms of references there are some weaknesses such asnon-sufficient scientificreferences, non-accuracy in referencing method, lack of scientific integrity. The theoretical foundations and presumption of the book are not clearly stated. It can be inferred thatthe author assumed that the resilient economy is the same as making the economy resistant. Sometimes evidences implicitly showed a kind of biasness towards government intervention approach, and sometime in favor of free market system. The suitability of this work with Islamic principles and attitude is very decent. This book can be used as a supplementary text through which the university students can get familiar with Iran's economic challengesand economic policies of resilient economy.

History, historiography, and historical knowledge are some of the favorite topics of postmodern scholars in the West and some of their exponents in Iran. Postmodernist ideas emerging from hermeneutical thought were a movement against positivist, deterministic, and objectivist views, especially in the humanities. The postmodern thinkers have defined history differently. In their view, any description of the events of the past is in the form of an interpretation of them, and the past is never fully and accurately recognizable. But the reality is that accepting and applying the hermeneutic postmodernist perspective in history means getting absolute skepticism and the destruction of the bases of the historical knowledge and its rejection. Hence, in this research, this devastating and relativistic view has been critically criticized on the basis of some of the main postmodern texts. The research findings indicate the postmodern hermeneutic view of history contains contradictions which do not allow the researchers to accept the history of this view.

Many studies have been undertaken with respect to the architecture of Islamic mosques in Iran. In most of these studies, mosques have been investigated monographically, so researchers have paid close attention to the physical structure, historical changes, and ornaments. In this book, Barbara Finster has taken into account such a repetitive format. Besides, this book has thoroughly focused on the evolution of early Islamic mosques in Iran. The present review has taken both form and content into account for further evaluation. This book can be regarded as one of the analytic and interpretive books which can open new horizons to Islamic architecture in the early Islamic centuries based on the writer’s postulations. Although this outstanding work has some merits, it is not without demerits particularly with respect to its translation. The selection of inappropriate equivalents for the technical words and some content inaccuracies are some of the major pitfalls of the book.

The present research was conducted with the aim of criticizing the book "Introductions to Educational Technology". In this regard, using the educational critical research method, the book written by Khadija Aliabadi, 16th edition of 2019, was criticized. The tool for data collection was the academic textbook review worksheet of the Council for the Review of Texts and Books of Human Sciences. After receiving and completing the sample sheets, the qualitative content analysis method was used to analyze the data. According to the findings, the advantages of the book include appropriate design in terms of volume and shape, calligraphy, good quality of printing and binding, smooth text and simplicity of content, compatibility with Iranian Islamic values, and use of reliable scientific sources. Also, the results showed the shortcomings of the form and content of the book including the oldness of the content and resources, especially in the section related to media, lack of coverage of the latest topics considered by the Ministry of Science, weakness in analyzing and criticizing the content, lack of innovation and creativity in content design and coverage, being free of common scientific content in the field of educational technology.

Paradox is not only a literary rhetorical device or a poetic image, but also a logical, philosophical and cosmological concept. It had been neglected in the rhetorical and literary works of the past due to its being regarded the same as other literary devices such as metaphor. Persian poets, especially in mystical literature and modern poetry, have used the richest paradoxical ideas in their poems. In the light of such paradoxical phrases, their poetic language has gained a permanent effect and novelty. Using paradox, the poet reconciles between contradictory and incongruent matters, and creates the impossible which is the most beautiful and wonderful image of imagination. Paradoxical ideas were obviously manifested in Sanai’s mystical poems. Therefore, the oldest examples of paradoxical ideas can be found in his works. In the present paper, the issue of paradox in Sanai’s works is studied.

The Comparative Literature Book a work of Mohammad Sa`eid Jamaluddeen is a characteristic one from among subjects of such literature, published for the first time in 1990. The writer followed up French School thoughts in his research focusing his efforts on Persian and Arabic Literatures. Although this work is not that type of teaching known books but in regard to its important research subjects and because it can be used as a teaching handbook, to have an overall critical-analytic study of it, pointing out its week and strong points, may look necessary. To have this critical-analytic study over the above mentioned work, in both form and content aspects, has been included within the Agenda of Text Studies Council and implemented by referring to the work`s text and using other relevant written works particularly the Persian translation of this very work. While studying the work it was found that it lacks the peculiarities of a teaching book, both in form and content, and because the content mostly relies upon preceding Arabic resources, but having no new remarkable ideas beside the weaknesses of conformity and comprehensiveness seen in the subject-matter. The only strong point we can mention here for the work is that it enjoys having two theoretical and practical sections in its researches and in what belongs to the pivotal aspects of Persian Literature and Arabic Literature thereafter.

From diachronic point of view, this book has tried to introduce different aspects of Pre-Islamic culture and arts of Iran briefly to the next generation. Today one the biggest problems all around the world, which includes us, is the crisis of identity, and such texts that introduce our ancient cultures to the new generations of students is necessary. This paper first reviews the format and content of the book, and then it proposes some points that can improve the next publications if the authors apply them.

The book, French Grammar, translated and compiled by a researcher, who have successfully created a work which can be considered as a reference book for the people familiar with French language. Having a complete command of the subject, this author translator has divided the contents of his research into a balanced order of chapters; within each of the chapters he has brought French sentences with minute translation of them together with their specific expressions as well. In all cases it is tried to present the meaning through simple sentences. Among his attempts, I can refer to the emphasis on French alphabet, gender of nouns, articles, nouns of plurality, irregular and regular verbs, object nouns and their agreement. In this study, we try to show that despite limited sources for this translation, the translator has been able to prepare a well-formed and useful grammar, and present the French grammar with modern examples and necessary explanations, for the interested people at secondary level. Therefore, to point out the real value of the work, at the beginning of this article we have considered the present status of this grammar in comparison with former grammars.

The Results of this study , primarily is that the basis of the author in this book, is accepting an irrational and unscientific theory from some Western about religions and myths and their relationship with each other and how they are emerged, have been expressed. Second, Methods of author 's research is not based on the scientific methods , because on whole of the book, in each part, the author first brings some contents of the myths of various nations and then by cutting verses of Shahnameh or Khamseh or Mantiq Al-Tayr inspires that those texts are affected by those myths and they are revealed . Third, is the author’s neglect in connection with the Ferdowsi , Nizami and Attar and their firm as a conscious belief in Islam and Islamic culture manifested that seen in their workd from place to place which is totally different with myths and theories are the so-called mythology . The results of the author 's work is an attempt to show that there is a similarity between the great texts of Persian classical literature and the ideological view of Western Mythologists, and that they are nothing but Asatir Al-Avvalin.

International Relations theory has been the site of intense debate in recent years.A decade ago it was still possible to divide the field between three main perspectives –Realism, Liberalism and Marxism. Not only have these approaches evolved in new directions ,they have been joined by a number of new ‘isms’ vying for attention, including feminism and constructivism.“International Relations Theory for the Twenty-First Century” is one of the comprehensive books to provide an overview of all the most important theories within international relations.Written by an international team of experts in the field, the book covers both traditional approaches, such as realism and liberal internationalism, as well as new developments such as constructivism, poststructuralism and postcolonialism.Through our critical review, we have tried to evaluate the presented topics in each article. As our major question we try to discuss whether the arguments are able to efficiently provide comprehensive coverage of the relevant theory? This Griffiths`s Book, unlike his previous work, the "Encyclopedia of International Relations", could not cover the whole spectrum of international relations. It could be considered as a source, of course with a relative coverage, for M.A and Ph.D students but not for B.A students.

This article tries to critically review Modern and Postmodern Philosophers: The End of History by Ali Moradkhani. The topic of Endism is one of many new issues that in the late twentieth century, especially with Fukuyama, has gained momentum in academic circles. This issue has been, explicitly or implicitly, stated in philosophy of modern and postmodern in this book, but the author wants to make clear it under the title of "end of history". This article consists of two parts: The first part of this article refers to the shortcomings of the content of the book such as the style of its writing and translation. In other words, much of the book is a translation of the sources of the book, not necessarily the author’s own ideas. The second part of the article considers formal shortcomings of book such as book cover, table of contents, references, endnotes, etc. We also propose some samples whenever necessary.

This paper aims to review the “Economic Threats and Resistance Economy”. The authors believe that economic war (sanctions) is the main threat to Iran’s economy that is an instrument of exercising power. It is also noted that the economy is more vulnerable to sanctions in cyber areas, science, and technological dependency in industrial areas and economic dependency on oil sector. Among offered proposals, establishing an economic defense system and base is more applicable. The authors’ effort on finding the links among economy, defense, and security is the most important advantage of the book. However, the book could be enhanced in terms of its statistical analysis, credibility of some references, and old statistics usage.Although the title mentions resistance economy, the text does not perpend on general policies of resistance economy. It is necessary to pay more attention to requirements and consistency of resistance economy patterns, comprehensive defense, and security pattern and its role in resistance economy. The book could be used as a secondary reference for courses like Iran’s economy and development economics. Nevertheless, a basic move is to establish academic fields like defensive economics in graduate level.

By writing several books during three decades, Mohammad Taghi Ghiasi can be said to stand among those who have tried to make the Persian speaking community acquainted with the French New Criticism. He has thus had an undeniable role in creating the Iranians’ first reception of this movement, particularly, in the context of universities. In so doing, he has introduced himself a translator, a researcher, and even a writer although in most of his books, he is no more than a translator of works of French authors. The present study is on the belief that the quality of Ghiasi’s work in this domain has been progressively declining. This falling trend has gone so far that he has sometimes provided his audience with an incorrect, vague, and even misleading image of some new movements in criticism. The origin of such distorted image of literary criticism can be found in his lack of loyalty in translating French texts and in introducing fundamental changes in them. The Persian speaking reader also faces texts which have little similarity with Ghiasi’s so-called books and the introductions he has written to them.

Evaluating rhetoric books is important due to two points: Enhancing/Improving quality of educational rhetoric books and finding modern rhetoric viewpoints and comparing them with other rhetoric results. The purpose of this article is to evaluate lessons of Arabic rhetoric toward a new idea from two perspectives: Efficiency level in rhetoric as well academic education. The method of analysis is analytic and descriptive. The paper aims to analyze the positive and negative aspects of the book by first reporting the context of the book. In addition, it aims to show AlAzhar’s book view for academic tuition all over the world. The results of this research show the book "Lessons of Arabic Rhetoric toward a New Idea", has compounded classic rhetoric with modern masterful rhetoric discovery. However, the frame of the book turns around classic rhetoric. This book can be taught in basic levels (BA) as a main source and in high levels (MA) as a derivative source. Although the writer has done his best, he has not paid attention to some classic rhetoric discussions.

In modern history, Islamic societies are under the subjugation of European nations. This causes their political, cultural, and economic dependency. Islamic Revolution's emancipation prescription to Islamic nations is the renovation of their social science based on Islamic principles in order to be able to manage their countries according to independent political, cultural, and economic knowledge. There are different streams of thought in Iran developed according to this policy. The reviewed book is written on the basis of one of them. As a text book, it is well designed, however, regardless of the writer's effort to get along with Islamic principles and values, the book has several weaknesses and confusions. The main issue is lack of enough attention to the difference between ontology and epistemology which underpinned the secular and Islamic methodology. The book's suggestion is to mix these methods regardless of their fundamental differences. The other problem is its suggestion to extract uncertain original bases of social sciences off the Islamic texts and try to reach certainty by experimental current methods. This means to dominate experimental secular results over Islamic texts. The suggested method causes to cover those current secular understanding of social science whose positions are not clear to Islamic values, with an Islamic layer.

Translation of texts and creating an appropriate bridge between two concept domains with different forms not only is a science, but also an art. Mostly those translations are considered to be trustworthy and valid which provide proper equivalents for the concepts in the target language. Confirming the complicated task of a translator and praising the hard work of respectable (honorable) translators of our country, mentioning some delicate but key points in translating history texts, can make these kinds of translations more valuable, and can result in a brighter perspective for these kinds of translations. Transferring historical names from foreign languages into Persian is a very complicated task because of the difference between alphabets and transcriptions of each letter. This matter can be more problematic if the names are not that well-known and the translator is not familiar with the specialist in the field. In other words, the translator has been very successful in translation the sentence in general, but being successful in finding appropriate equivalents for all the historical (scientific) names endangers the translation itself. In the last two decades translations of this kind have been done, where the translator has no specialty in the field.
