چکیده

کتاب پساروش: آشفتگی در پژوهش علوم اجتماعی نوشتۀ جان لا، فیلسوف و جامعه‌شناس انگلیسی، است. این کتاب از معدود کتاب‌هایی است که خود روش را موردکاوش فلسفی ‌ـ جامعه‌شناختی قرار می‌دهد. کتاب پساروش مفروضات متافیزیکی و هنجارمندی‌های روش‌های متعارف را می‌کاود و به‌چالش می‌کشد و می‌کوشد رویکرد بدیلی را به روش در اختیار گذارد که منعطف‌تر، سخاوت‌مندتر، و درعین‌حال محتاط‌تر و کم‌گوی‌تر باشد. هم‌چنین، این کتاب با بهره‌گیری از موردکاوی‌های متعددی کردار، هدف، و ابزارهای بیانی روش‌ها را موردبازاندیشی قرار می‌دهد. این کتاب در فضای برساخت‌گرایی و نظریۀ کنش‌گرشبکه بحث را پیش می‌برد، بااین‌حال به‌زعم نویسنده در چند‌جا، به‌ویژه در بحث‌های مربوط به عدم تعین و چندگانگی، از این دو فراتر می‌رود. در این مقاله، مهم‌ترین دعاوی و مواضع این کتاب را طرح خواهیم کرد و توضیح خواهیم داد و نیز برخی از کاستی‌های آن را ازجمله برخی بی‌دقتی‌ها در بیان مطالب و مواضع کتاب دربارۀ برساخت‌گرایی به‌بحث خواهیم گذاشت.

A Critical Review on the Book After Method; Mess in Social Science Research

چکیده English

The book “After Method; Mess in Social Science Research” written by English philosopher and sociologist John Law, is one of the few books which explores the method itself philosophically-sociologically. After Method explores and challenges the metaphysical assumptions and normativities of conventional methods and tries to provide an alternative approach toward method. The book also rethinks practices, purposes, and expression techniques of conventional methods through a variety of case studies. This book advances the discussion in the space of constructivism and actor-network theory; however, in the author's opinion, it goes beyond these two in several places, particularly in the discussions related to indefiniteness and multiplicity. In this article, we will lay out the most important claims and positions of this book and discuss also some of its shortcomings.
