The purpose of reviewing books is to improve their quality and to make more and better knowledge available to students and readers. Curriculum planning is one of the specialized courses in educational sciences; however, there is unfortunately a lack of resources in this field. Most of the existing books in the field of curriculum planning cannot be introduced to students as useful resources for their university courses. The reason is their huge volume, abstrusity, or a lack of compatibility with thecourse descriptions approved by the Supreme Council for Planning.
In the present paper, the book “Principles of Curriculum Planning” by Mohammad Hossein Yarmohammadian is briefly introduced, and then reviewed from two perspectives of form and content.
