چکیده

رابرت گروستست یکی از علمای بزرگ سدۀ 12 و 13 در دانشگاه آکسفورد به شمار می­رود. گروستست رساله­ای نوشته با عنوان دربارۀ نور و در آن رساله سعی کرده تبیینی از نور به دست بدهد که هم با نگاه علمی-فلسفی او و مسالۀ خلقت در سفر پیدایش مناسبت داشته باشد. به همین سبب او در رسالۀ دربارۀ نور در بخش نخست دربارۀ ماهیت نور سخن می­گیرد و توضیح می­دهد که از منظر فلسفۀ طبیعی چطور ممکن است نور موجد همه­چیز باشد و چگونه نور می­تواند از درون این جهان، و نه بیرون از آن، به آن فعلیت یا به تعبیری صورت ببخشد. او اذعان می­کند که نور فی­نفسه متکثر می­شود و ماده را از درون ماده اتساع می­بخشد و همین مبنایی می­شود تا گروستست در بخش دوم رساله، تبیینی بدیع از مسئلۀ خلقت به دست می­دهد. در این مقاله سعی خواهیم کرد نخست پایه­های فکری گروستست را بررسی کنیم و نشان بدهیم که او بر اساس کدام مبانی فلسفی چنین تفسیری از نور به دست می­دهد و سپس به بررسی نظرات او در رسالۀ دربارۀ نور خواهیم پرداخت و در آخر نشان خواهیم داد که رویکرد او به نور می­تواند موجب پیدایش فلسفۀ رنسانس شود.

On Light: Light Essence According to Robert Grosseteste in “De Luce”

چکیده [English]

Robert Grosseteste was one of the greatest philosophers of 12^th and 13^th centuries. Among his writings, there is a treatise called “De Luce” in which he tries to consolidate his philosophical approach with theology and to give an account that fits his scientific-philosophical point of view and the creation in the Book of “Genesis”. To this end, Grosseteste in the first part of the treatise explains the very nature of Light and then demonstrates how is it possible to consider Light a creator of all things created and how this Light actualizes these possible things from within not outside. He asserts that Light extends Seipsam, a byproduct of which is matter’s extension, and this assertion would be a basis for him to give an innovative interpretation of how things are created. In this article, we first try to investigate his intellectual background and to show upon which basis he interpreted Light in this manner, by doing this there will be an appropriate moment for us to analyze “De Luce” and to show what sort of intellectual consequences had his light theory and how it could contribute in developing of Renaissance philosophy.
